Reminder: You Can Play More Than One Game

All I see are people complaining about ”Valorant vs Overwatch”

You can play both. One doesn’t have to ”kill” the other just because you like the game more.

I still play older games even when new ones come out because I can like games of the same/similar genres.

It’s the same deal of how people were saying OW would kill TF2, although it never did and TF2’s still consistently in the Top 10 Most Played Games on Steam, and I’d go as far as to argue that TF2 is actually much better made than Overwatch.

I have three games that I play frequently, Overwatch being one of them. It really does puzzle me why some feel they can only play one at a time…

Because you literally/physically can only play one game at a time. Derp

Lol, I should have specified. Unless… I have multiple Xbox consoles and TV’s in the same room!

Lies! I’m kind of an addict. When one game is my main, other games really don’t exist. :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:

The logic is
If valorant is more fun than Overwatch, more balanced than Overwatch, and is in the same genre as Overwatch, less people will play Overwatch and will, instead, play the “better” version.
It’s like movies or streaming services. Sure, you CAN have Hulu and Netflix and Disney+, but do you really have the time to make having them both worth it? And would you recommend the better or worse game?

I play 4 games at a time and I love all of them. Idky people are so focused one what does better.

I think it’s just more of that famous toxicity that this community is known for. Really, if Valorant is so much more appealing to you, then by all means, go play it. Kaplan is the shot caller and Kaplan is going to do what Kaplan wants to do, regardless. In this case, he has clearly stated that OW2 is now the focus, done deal.

I’m with those who are saying Volorant won’t hurt Overwatch since it doesn’t directly target it’s audience as much as it does CS:GO

But other arena E-sports games can exist and I’m fine with that—only way it would be an issue is if OW literally got canceled by Blizzard as a result and I just don’t see that happening

As far as real competition for OW’s hero-based groove goes, if TF3 becomes a thing, that’s when OW will have some serious competition

What OP said.

Right now I’m playing through my beloved reboot Devil May Cry. And after that, I might even play OW. Or even Sims. OR EVEN JUST MINESWEEPER.

In all seriousness, I legitimately don’t understand comparisons. Play both? ??? Play Apex after either or? Make the most of your isolation.

Nah, depending on the game I can play 3. I learned that it is easier if I cross my arms for 2 keyboards and also 1 phone on the leg… soo yea. :joy:

Yeah but overwatch is just a joke competitively. Some of us are just looking for an actual fair comp hero shooter that rewards individual skill and is not just a boosted smurf fiesta. If I like valorant I have no reason to play overwatch. Just a waste of time.

True, but it’s not very beneficial to try and play a bunch of multiplayer/live service games, at the same time.

Trying to do that, chews up a lot of time.

That’s why it’s best, if you want to play multiple games, to try and find some balance. Maybe one multiplayer, one single player. One long and ongoing game, one short story driven game.

Time is a finite resource.

Exactly.
