Why am I “allowed” let alone capable of rejoining a game that I just left. If its full of toxic players, two of which I already reported, and I want to leave just to be done with it, and join another game, why am I being thrown in to the same game after I have left? I know people’s response is just going to be “well then just wait a minute before queuing so your spot gets filled”. I did. But because of the volatility of the group that I left, people were pouring out of that match like rats on a sinking ship, so I just happen to be put back into the match even after grabbing myself a drink.
Of course, I left again. But now I was greeted by the notice that I was being given a -75% leaver exp penalty. Because I left the SAME game. That I CLEARLY didn’t want to be in as I both blocked and reported two of the players.
Would it not be the easiest thing in the world to be able to institute either 1) A confirmation if you went into the same match that you actually wanted to rejoin or 2) never rejoining a game in QP with blocked/reported players or 3) just never being able to rejoin the game period, which I would be ok with.
99% of the time, when someone wants to leave a game, they had a reason for it. You are forcing me to endure another 3-5 minutes of abusive chat and toxic game play so that “I” can avoid a leaver penalty. That seems to be penalizing the wrong person in this equation, wouldn’t you say?
I find the leaver penalty for QP silly anyways, as there is backfill.

Stop quitting games and you wont have this problem. The leaver penalty is there so people dont just constantly leave as soon as they are losing. If anything they need harsher punishments for quitting. Yea there is backfill, and people hate to be backfilled, also it isnt always instant.
Also mute chat if people are being toxic. If that is your reason for leaving all youre doing is putting some1 else in the game with toxic ppl, report and mute, finish ur game and leave.

I didnt see you give a great solution. Im all ears if you have one. And leaving the game only to have some1 else get stuck in there filling isnt a good answer.

If you’re getting a penalty for it then it’s valid advice, you need to have left I think like half of your last 20 games to get a penalty for it so I find it hard to believe the only issue is toxicity.
If you feel like you need to leave a game then avoid one of the players and it won’t put you back in.

It’s designed to work this way because of people like you that leave and instantly re-queue.
If you create backfill, then you should fill it as well. It’s not exactly a blast for the next person to have to deal with that team, but now have to deal with coming into a match halfway through its progression on top of all that.

And Youko that is patently incorrect. I play about 10-12 games before this just this evening, and that was the first one I left. My previous session I may have left 1-2 games as well. No way in heck was that 10 games leaving.
And Yes, i did post solutions, three of them in fact, so people really need to actually read my post before replying…
And Thanks Apex, I’ll try that. I just know you can only have limited numbers on that list, but I suppose if it guarantees I don’t get back into that match, that is at least somewhat of a solution.
Obviously the permanent solution is reporting these dweebs, but unfortunately that takes time to enact.
To prevent yourself from rejoining, take random player from your team (grey background players) and stick them on the avoid teammate list. When you start the next game, remove them, unless you don’t want them on your team again.
You’re quitting games, potentially forcing somebody else to backfill when they just queued for a fresh match…just because you want to dodge the loss. If there wasn’t a penalty for leaving, it’d be an even bigger problem than it is right now.
Also, I hate to break it to you, but ‘leavers’ are right up there with toxic people on the totem pole of “what’s wrong w/ the game”.
Finish your matches, and if the voice comms are a putrid mess, just mute them and keep playing.

Avoid some player of your previous team, requeue.
It’s the best use of avoid, since it’s so limited and you will never avoid every single player you want.
What is wrong with this game is that games like COD and LoL have programmed the young generation to be a bunch of run-and-gun solo kill “be the hero” bum rush lemmings, and completely downplay the necessity of teamwork. OW trying to bring that element back into the game, but instead of imparting on its audience the importance of said teamwork, they simply leave it be and wonder why they get so much toxicity in the game, when only 50% or less (probably much less) of the players actually understand how the game is suppose to work.
And still no solution. If you really dont want to get back into the game, was a min or so. Should have filled by then, but you are also screwing over another player, but it is what it is.

I feel ya but they I am pretty sure that they don’t want to encourage leaving so it will probably stay unchanged.
However i woudl really like an option not to be matched with the same teams after i have finished a match.
I hope Blizz reads this, its all the truth. This happened to me the other day, and I got so tilted that the game freaking wanted me in one particular toxic match SO BAD that I spam searched for qp game-left-repeated over and over as fast as I could because I was so irritated, and I stopped when I saw “-75% XP for the next 15 matches” So stupid
just wait a minute or two before you queue again.
