Rejoin match function not working

Recently I’ve been kicked out of my game due to connection issues several times. Which is weird, cause there’s nothing wrong with my wi-fi, no errors at other games, just overwatch. When that happens I usually can click on the rejoin match button. But today that button stopped working. I click on it, it makes it’s little peep,- than nothing happens…

Can this be fixed? Especially since this makes me lose competitive matches that I was about to win, but get a loss for ‘leaving’

  1. | This is weird client behaviour, restart your overwatch and then it should work.
  2. | You’re gaming on wi-fi? Ethernet is much better.
  3. | If you had wi-fi on full bars it doesn’t mean the wi-fi itself has good internet it just means you’re connected with the wi-fi but not the internet. So that’s why such issues seem to go undetected.

I have encountered the same error several times.
Suddenly I got disconnected from competitive. Steps I took to try rejoin but ultimately failed and was kicked from the game…

  • Exited overwatch
  • Restarted the game, tried to rejoin match got the peep sound but nothing happened.
  • Exited the game again
  • Did a scan and repair on the game (no error or files needed to be corrected)
  • opened overwatch again and tried to rejoin the match, got the peep sound but nothing happened. At this point the team and game had run out of time and I could no longer rejoin. The interesting thing is the game opened fine, found game servers, I was able to chat to my colleague and the team via chat but could not enter the game.

I am playing on a Desktop, with more than enough resources.
Connected via ethernet and running on 1GB fibre down/ 100mb fibre up

Same, I have the exact same issue as you. I was disconnected last night twice yesterday. First was during the matchmaking. I received 15 minutes ban. Second was in game, I received one hour ban. Now I received warning for quitting early, I have never encountered such issues before until like 3 days ago. The battle.net log me out unexpectedly and warning me for quitting early lol. Battle.net patch it please, and rework that rejoin mechanism. Put it like at least 5 minutes to rejoin.

This has been happening to me too! It happened yesterday and I was forced to watch match chat from the main menu until the game ended, resulting in my suspension. and again today, just now. I can sit there and click on it and hear the noise of the button all day, but it just doesn’t work.
