In GM this week, he has a 15.50% pickrate (equal to 93% of games).
This is literally the same pickrate as Mercy when she was first reworked.
But people will say “It’s just his meta” 
Even during double shield meta, neither Orisa nor Sigma had a pickrate this high.

Welp, its more about him having decent pickrate alredy before, and also being more fun to play than orisa for example for many people.
Add to that that he supposed to get pick rates up from other shield tank nerfs… and you get rein dominate again. Even without his anty cc buff he got, he would still be most picked shield tank rn

People want Reinhardt to be meta. He could go ever higher in the pickrates and most players probably still be okay with that, compared to Mercy or Mei or Orisa.

People considers Winston an offtank so buffing him a bit with some minor rein nerfs my balance the issue

Every main support has been nerfed, despite people asking overwise. You think Rein is safe?

I get your point, but Mercy nerfed wasnt because just “Meta”, more like because of fun factor.
The people didnt complain that Mercy was OP or most picked, they complained Mercy ruined fun “she reverted my reward wah wah wah…”
It’s less about Reinhardt being OP and more about Orisa and Sigma getting nerfed a bit too hard. Though I think a case for a nerf to Steadfast could be made.
People don’t want Rein nerfed until he is balanced, they want him nerfed out of the meta like every other tank that’s been meta, especially main tanks. If he is nerfed out of the meta, they will target the next meta tanks. Soon, people will stop playing main tank at all.
I doubt he gets anything more than a slap on the wrist, blizzard is terrified of double shield being OWL meta, and I’m terrified of it being meta for the rest of us.

I honestly hope you are not complaining about it. Rein is fun to play, play against and very well balanced. And I rather have Rein on my team than any other tank
I get bullied whenever I pick Sigma now.
His primary fire damage is so bad, now it’s only good for charging enemy healer ultimates.
It’s always a Rein meta, but people don’t notice because they tend to focus more on the top 1% stats which are irrelevant to most of us.
Do you know who the #1 most picked tank in the game was during double barrier meta? Reinhardt. He was actually the #2 hero overall.
For 99% of the playerbase, Rein has been meta for years and I can’t take much more. It’s destroying my Overwatch experience. In a game that’s supposedly about diversity, having to play against the same hero – OP or not – in 90% of my matches for hours a night, several nights a week, 52 weeks a year for years on end is insufferable.
It’s not about balance at this point for me so much as boredom.
After nerfing the other shield tanks which are kinda mandatory, who DIDN’T see this coming?

From shield tanks only rein and sigma were fun to play for me, and i do belive most people plaing as shield tanks feeled the same.
Would be nice to have bigger choice?
Welp, was for me when i just walked out and alredy had broken shield. They say this game have only 2 dps on each team, but i feel like i getting shoot by 4 again
