if brigitte can get her golden shield why not rein? The centerpiece is basically begging to be gold at this point and his shield is a defining part of his kit.
After all, hog, moira and brigitte had upgrades to their gold weapons, why not rein too?
ps: torb with gold turret (only the cannons maybe) would be hands down the best gold weapon in the game.
At most the middle part is gonna be gold, brigitte’s shield only has golden parts on the wooden and metallic parts (iirc), so rein can only have golden on the centerpiece, since everything else is a barrier lol.

I am not sure why Brigitte got god shield on the first place. Gold are usually only the items that appears on the 1st person view as well.
I think the difference is Brig uses her shield as a weapon while Rein doesn’t. That being said I wouldn’t mind if he did get some gold in his shield.
But it is technically an ability.
