please stop asking people for a shield tank hes garbage winston and ball are much better, you are putting yourself at a disadvantage when your running crazy dps/support lineups and expecting a rein zarya brawl comp???

yea diamond under loves it, when people do not realize its literally who can pocket the rein harder, if you want to play by yourself its not a good comp at all

Tbh, your criticism makes sense in Masters/GM.
But not in Gold/Plat.
If your teammates aren’t coordinated enough to take advantage of brief windows of positioning errors by the enemy team, then Hammond isn’t really “main tanking” anywhere below are least 3300SR.

I mean I play in the ranks and a lot of brawl comp is giving your resources to your rein/main tank to win the frontline and roll them while the enemy team does the same and try to stop you, but most people just associate rein= shield and then just not play to keep him alive
My favourite is when we have almost all flankers and then a Rein.

I had a game exactly like this, the classic team comp identity crisis. I get mercy lucio torb soldier and I am like hell no I am not playing rein or zarya/dva with this comp so my tank mate locks ball and I go hog
Well, Zarya/Hog is pretty legit.
Ball Hog can probably work in Plat. Assuming their Ana isn’t getting great Bionades off.

I think the enemy supports did well that game, I remember they had a bap zen and he built window 4 times in a single round which I was confused by
rein is not good (currently), but he’s ok.
If you’re not a Master/GM player then he’s probably the best tank for you to pick because simply holding his shield for the team is often way more valuable than a pepega Ball/Winston who can’t coordinate proper dives with the teams
You can’t complain when you’re being asked to switch into the most valuable tank in your own tier

players below 3k don’t watch the kill feed or pay any attention to what their tanks are doing unless it’s a Rein right in front them. Even then 1/2 the time the don’t notice or move past the choke.
The game play of what you should do vs what players really do is mostly theory craft in lower ranks. Like every 3k+ tank main has at least a few game where they straight up stomp out the back line of a low SR team in say QP or whatever… and nothing happens.
Your team of gold SR players will 100% still loss a 5 vs 4 fight at a choke vs a team with no supports. Being they don’t know how to use cover or when to go aggro.

if you arent gm rein zarya will ALWAYS be powerful. the rest of the elos pretend the the meta makes any difference to them
