Rein is a bit inconsistent

I played a fair bit of Rein and I feel like he’s equally frustrating to play against and play as due to a lack of consistency in 2 ability.

First we have his charge. His charge is fun since it can give you a 1 kill but will put you and your team at risk. It’s a great way to plow through and get a good push. All of that being said, I feel like sometimes a clear charge will give you a boop instead and sometimes a clear miss will suck them in. It can be really frustrating to either get sucked in a pin but it also can get frustrating to see a clear kill get booped off of it.

Finally we get the good ol’ Shatter. Great way to either get killed or to combo ults since it stuns multiple enemies (when more than 1 are hit) in place on the ground. But, I feel like I hear a lot of “How??? I was behind insert something here”. It can be great to play as and again frustrating to play against. Oh your shatter got people around the corner of shield/wall great for you. You got shattered from under the payload or on top of something to bad for you.

Are all of these a good way to make him more balanced? Or are they all game “breaking” things that should get fixed? I need opinions please and thank you.

He needs his ultimate back to prenerf condition. Also, a little more consistency on his charge. I have hit people square on, but it pushes them to the side. I have also barely brush someone and it sucked them in it seems.

No, his stun duration is fine now. It was too much cc before now it has more counterplay.

You and I are going to have to disagree.

I randomly get pinned off him charging into my feet all the time. It is extremely annoying.

Especially since on the rare occasions I play rein I will charge right through someone and only end up knocking them aside. I have never gotten a foot contact pin before. Seriously. Not once.
