Rein into Cass/JQ/Genji in Stadium

Is there literally anything you can do against it?

(I don’t play tank much because tank in 5v5 makes me want to uninstall life)

I suppose you could try a full defensive build, like stacking shield health and base health, and give your shield a healing aura?

Then regenerate your shields by hitting people with your hammer to keep it going.

Now you’re a defensive wall and can out-heal anything JQ hits you with, so if you also get some weapon swing speed to help out with the shield regen, you can flatten her or force her to pick survival items as well, meaning your team won’t be as threatened by her. Also not sure if shield blocks Commanding Shout’s bleed, if it does, great, if not, you have enough healing and damage resistance to ignore it.

Genji isn’t doing much to anyone with your shear aura.

Cassidy can’t shoot through walls (you) so just slowly approach him and try to get your team to stand behind you.

No clue what powers or items you’d need, or if the game would even last enough to get them, so try to experiment in the practice range with some feasible mid-game builds, i.e. see what’s affordable at every round.

As soon as my shield is down, he can fan the hammer and I’m at half hp, and that’s from Cass.

Reinhardt shouldn’t have a problem against Genji. Cassidy can be one, and Junker Queen can either be 5:5 toss-up depending on how aggressive or supportive your team is against Queen. It’ll really depend how well you’ll coordinate with your team here.

If you want a good choice against Queen or Genji, you can pick up Lucio. Soundwave does wonders in keeping them out, and Genji can’t deflect Soundwave.

Command Shout will be blocked since it’s Line-of-Sight. But Carnage can pierce barriers.

As pointed out, Cassidy can toss a Flashbang and FTHx2 into Rein which can be pretty heavy damage.

Yeah, that kinda sucks with the damage and ammo increases he has, I’ve been there.

I guess just try to keep your shield up as much as possible and hope your team can kill him with that Amplification Matrix power.

If you want a little more initiative, drop your shield for a second to bait out fan, the bulk of it will be blocked by shield and Cass will try to roll behind you to fan again. Simply block and now he has a short window to take a swing. He can’t keep rolling so you’ll have more frequent windows to punish him.

Then your entire team gets rolled by a Genji with like 10% weapon damage because you were trying to Dark Souls a cowboy and you get called a racial slur:

The biggest takeaway is you’re one player trying to deal with 3. If your team is refusing to help, or are simply too inept to, that’s not on you.

Well, given that it’s Stadium, I can’t really counter-pick in advance… or at all. :frowning:

What does this even mean? As OP pointed out you can’t have a support switch to Lucio, and the Tank player likely doesn’t want to play Lucio even if they could.

Carnage and quick melee can pierce as is expected, good to know shout can’t though, and knife throw can’t either.

Maybe just stack damage resistance and attack speed then? The less damage you take, the less healing JQ gets and you can just out-damage her.

Flashbang doesn’t stun anymore, it’s just a hinder, which isn’t going to slow down a stationary Reinhardt any more. He does have some nasty Tank-busting though, I guess you just need to try and block as many fans as you can and pin him whilst he’s reloading.

Actually I 1-tricked Lucio to Legend.

:frog: :+1:

That’s actually a good point, and I’m not too sure whether Queen’s Wounds effects can be further resisted outside of armor (or Fortify). Is there even an item that would reduce damage over time effects further? You can’t really reduce the damage of Burn outside of armor.

Well one great power is one that gives you 0.5% damage resistance every time you take damage and it stacks up to 20 times, so 10% less damage from everything. Literally any DoT happens and you’ve maxed it out! It’s an epic survival item.

There’s also one that reduces 15% of all damage you take it over 4 seconds instead. That might also delay JQ’s healing, but I’m not sure.

However she can also get a 50% armour-ignore, so that might just make you bleed easier. Because she likely will get this anyway because of your base armour, you’re less incentivised to get more armour and should just try to stack damage-resistances.

This is a good thought. I’ll try this out!

Ah, that’s right there’s some late game items that would that.

Ogundimu Reduction Field would work. And any direct damage reduction will affect Queen’s Adrenaline Rush healing. So the above item will work, but Nebula Conduit probably won’t, since it says incoming damage.

Nebula Conduit would still be good since it forces all direct damage into a damage over time, but Queen’s Wounds/bleeds and her regeneration are separate and fixed effects. Meaning that the direct damage is still independent of the bleed damage, and that bleed damage is always going to heal for 225% of the bleed.

Really sucks that it doesn’t work for DoT.

BUT I just had an idea! Cyber Venom! A point-blank Firestrike and now JQ has 30% less healing for a few seconds, you can time it with her axe swings so they’re much less effective, and you could probably just ignore her knife.

Yep, that’ll work too. Anything that impairs healing will impair hers, too!

I am mid but whenever there a cass, orisa or even zarya i just go full ap build. Snipe the squishies and play stay tf away from the demons.

Genji isn’t really a hard counter to it, he can deflect but he’s doing a while lot of nothing waiting for you to fs. And people play split so just don’t shoot the genju.

Can get Anti heals on ap against Queen.

Can get the shield while pinning for the cass but i usually go for that about round 5, if i need it.

Tbh when i play tank i only run the ap build. I don’t find wp rein to be that fun and it sucks against cass. Ap let’s you keep distance. And keep your 1 shot pin when they build up their survivability.
