Refresh Rate not showing as available after switching to nVidia 1080ti

So I recently had my R9 280X Die on me (RIP) and I figured now’s a good time to nab a 1080ti for cheap. So I did - I took the plunge into nVidia after being on team red for… well… ever.

Anyway, to the point:
I have a Sony X900E 4K TV that I play on. The panel is a true 120hz panel, I know this because on my AMD Card I had no issue setting a custom resolution and playing at 1080p (120hz) (Yes, I know the 1080ti can drive 4k, but I like faster frame-rate vs high res on a game like OW - WoW and other games sit at 4k and they’re amazing… but I digress…)

But when I set the nVidia custom resolution to add 1080p 120hz, the screen works just fine in all other games… but in OW the only available drop-down is 1080p(60hz) - is there any way to manually change the refresh rate?

Suggestion: Disable full screen optimization on Overwatch and Overwatch Launcher .exe and see if that helps. Also, make sure it’s set as your primary card in the GPU settings.

Tried this, still not showing.

I just find it odd (and frustrating) that there isn’t a seperate drop down like in other games for refresh rate… Also that this worked on AMD and nVidia is supposed to be the superior GPU… yet oddly can’t seem to communicate a custom refresh rate.

Any other thoughts? I’ve considered getting an EDID editor but I’m kind of weary of this… don’t want to break the TV but, again, it ran at this Refresh rate on the AMD Card.

have u got the desktop display set to the 1080p and 120hz setting before launching game?

Yes, 1080p 120hz is set on the desktop - just not the game.

I even had to put in a custom resolution, but it works.
