So it’s okay to reduce everyone else’s critbox but D.Va’s, which was already larger than everyone else’s is also in a no risk position of center of body (so if you don’t hit the crit box you’ll still get a body shot)? People have asked for a reduction in her critbox but for the past year and a half they haven’t done anything about it.
Oh, wait, I’m sorry. Because a lot of people are playing her they shouldn’t change anything. Even though I’m sure they’ll nerf her soon enough just like they do every 3 months (probably greatly reduce the missile damage, and increase damage falloff on her main weapon, or probably reduce her booster duration or some other BS).

Personally, the pilot herself needs to take damage if you get a critical shot off. I don’t think the pilot should be rewarded by getting out of mech with a free handgun and a fast charging ult.
Let’s say you do 50 critical damage, that could mean 5 damage done to the pilot inside.

To reduce the critbox would definitely be to lose damage, it wouldn’t come without a cost.
That said I think they should never have given her missiles in the first place.

She has the largest critbox, it’s the size of freaking Torbjorn. She doesn’t have any sustainability without a healer on her 24/7. They nerfed her tank abilities and then gave her offense powers. I’ll take the hit to damage if they would give her some tankiness instead of this half DPS they call a tank.

ok so if the pilot is soaking some of the damage with her body then the mech should take less damage
I think they should eliminate it completely and reduce her health to 400 armor.
Why would the Korean military make mechs with a huge vulnerable spot in front of them? Makes no sense.
Great idea. Then the Meka, with its Jupiter sized critbox will only have 150 hp. This is just the kind of slap in the face that Dva mains deserve. If I rolled my eyes any harder, they’d fall out of my skull.
Get rid of the missles and give us DM back

DPS mains were unhappy with DM. They’re also unhappy with missiles. No matter what - if Dva defends or does damage, no one is happy.

It seems a nice trade since they nerfed DM. Despite the missiles can be unrealiable at times.
I think the current design is perfectly fine as-is, as someone playing her since literally day 1. She’s not rewarded, she’s punished for losing her mech. Zero Suit D.Va has no abilities and very slow projectile speed while outside of the mech, and like 150 health. If you look at her hard she dies.

i think D.va is perfectly fine at the moment, any changes could make or break her, we have seen this things in the past.

Sure. Reduce her critbox. But then remove defence matrix entirely. Then she will be balanced.
You would have to remove the critbox and shrink her spread by 40% if DM was to be removed.
If you are going to remove her defensive ability then her offense and base survivability has to be greatly increased.
