I used to love his videos but haven’t watched the last 3 coz I was watching ow1 content. I always loved his variety streams and hope he finds something he loves to stream again.

It is a shame, he was one of the real ones. But hey, it has more or less been this way for awhile anyways and his variety channel has been better than the main one for nearly a year. You could just tell Overwatch was dead to him for quite awhile. He was clearly not having fun.

There was also a reddit thread with pictures/links to Eskay and Frogger’s tweets where they screenshotted messages Redshell sent to them in their group chat where he straight up asked them if they thought it was weird how he was talking to an underage girl, both denounced him and cut him off entirely which was a big deal at the time because the three of them were like the holy trinity friends of Lucio content creators who always were talking and doing stuff together

Didn’t even know he was still doing OW stuff tbh. Watched a few of his trolling in bronze videos which were funny mostly due to the editors, but promptly forgot he existed once OW2 came out.

its good hes tryin to go variety, but goin cold turkey probably isnt the best option.
you can tell when a streamer wants to branch out from their ‘main’ game, cuz they’ll play that game most of the day then the last hour or two (or more) they’ll play something else. and slowly over time that ratio changes
this is too take your audience and introduce them to new content slowly over time.
when you do it suddenly you are starting fresh, this does also seem to apply too youtube videos.

Overwatch isn’t really a thriving community to be able to make money.
OWL pro’s get paid less then 30k a year (sometimes they don’t get paid at all) and people don’t search for Overwatch on Youtube… that’s a hard combo to beat if you stream Overwatch.
Look at all the Overwatch streamers that moved on and thrived extremely well. That would not happen playing just Overwatch.
He sounds a bit anxious about potentially losing his viewerbase (hence his form of living) by doing other content even though he wants to. It must feel terrible being “stuck” to doing one thing just because of money. I hope he finds success in his other content, nobody should feel forced to do the same thing forever just because of financial stability.

I was clearly being playful when I asked for evidence. I’m the one that tells everyone “you literally don’t have to do anything if you don’t want to”, so its clear any demands from me are inherently half serious.

I was expecting something like the game being bad or stuff but by the look of it, it seems like he just want to be known for other things than just OW.
Am I supposed to care, the dude literally got away with criminal activity as far as I am concerned, good riddance.
