Oh great another “I don’t like ‘thing’ therefore ‘thing’ should be changed to suit ME” thread

The map is fine and fun, just because YOU keep getting booped down a well, doesn’t mean the well should be removed or changed.

YOU need to pay attention and work on your positioning. Also just accept the fact that sometimes people get a peachy hook/boop and you just got to congratulate them for it instead of getting salty.

When I get thrown into the well, I blame only myself.
Now with the new symmetra giving a lot more options on where to fight from, the map needs no changes.

The capture area has corners. The hole does not.
Figure it out.

If you get booped into the well, that’s really your own fault.

I play a ton of Rein, even on that map. You have to carefully watch your opponent’s team comp and respect their control on that map, try to bait out boops and wait them out.

Ilios well is fine.

Please don’t try make the game a boring homogeneous mass with limited diversity in the maps.

I’m loving the well too… although for Halloween events I’d love a ghost to climb out of it just like in “The Ring”. :ghost:

Let them be. They barely get to see play otherwise. Let them shine on one map.

This thread reminded me that there is a custom game mode called “Roadhog Fishing” on Ilios Well and apparently it’s the bee’s knees.

Think I might go set up again now :stuck_out_tongue:

Environmental kills should be rare and rewarding not as common as they make them to be in this game. Less is MORE

They should introduce someone who can make a bridge like mei can make a wall, then there’d be moments of safety and the potential to save team mates with it as well

also it’d open up unique flank paths for team mates who don’t have that much mobility

DO NOT, I repeat, DO NOT change ilios well. It’s such a fun map and team comps that usually don’t do as well are viable.
Do you want to keep playing with the same team comp all the time?

ONE map where one tank is more viable than rein/zarya and people are asking to make it into another map where playing road/orisa will lose you the game

It’s one of the few maps you don’t see grav dragon to win every fight.

It’s nice to see Orisa, Road and Lucio.

yea a smaller well might be nice.

also, i know this is irrelevant for gameplay, but how in the world do
the people live in this town and think "yup, this 10m diameter hole totally shouldnt have a railing of some sort, so kids dont flipping fall down into
the abyss or something.

I began OW as a Lucio main, and rarely get to play him these days. I get so jazzed (HA) when we go to Ilios. Any of the maps.

I agree with this decision. Do we get points for dunks?

Those maps with these spots forcing “special” gameplay are the best ones. The beginning of Rialto, the well, the platform in Nepal, etc.

And the big upside of it being circular in the center is that all kinds of displacement - pull as much as push - is equally viable in dropping someone into the well.
