People have been saying it for a while now, Brigitte needs a rework. Either that or she needs to stay mediocre and niche. Heroes that require little to no skill should remain non-meta. if people are going to complain about Brigitte being niche/mediocre, so be it. You can’t buff this hero without causing major imbalances in the game.

maybe they should do balance changes for seperate ranks. masters and above have different balance changes or states of the game then metal ranks
I think people rather have a baptise-lamp change than a brit change
(Brigitte having no skill is the same as saying Reinhard needs no skill since they both swing with melee weapons and have a shield…i think you know that is not true)

Well it seems they’re taking a really good look at her… and it seems like they’re going to have to make some pretty big changes to make her work better in the direction they’re wanting to take the game.
I never said she takes no skill, but Brigitte takes considerably less skill than any of the other supports with the possible exception of Moira.
Also most people don’t care about a Brigitte change rn, except for the Brigitte players because she’s not meta.
Reinhardt takes much more game-sense to play, same with Winston. Also abilities like Shatter and Primal Rage are difficult to use correctly. They are exponentially more difficult to play than Brigitte.

Valid opinion, what’s the problem? Brigitte objectively requires immensely less skill than most other supports except for Moira.
She being easy isn’t a good reason for her to never be meta. Every hero deserves to have a place in this game. If she is too easy, make her harder. And being easy or hard is relative.
I dont think this is true at all lol. Brigitte is extremely easy to throw with unless you use her properly. Most of the other supports are way safer picks.

I still think my idea can work…
Shift her from healing to armor- armor depends more on the kind of damage that hits it so for every healing you remove you can let her give around ~2/3 the healing in form of armor, making her weaker to burst but stronger on dive.
That will increase her niche potential and uniqueness as support while making her less oppressive in high ranks.

Well yeah, she takes good positioning and overall a brain to play but it doesn’t mean she takes much more skill than any of the other healers. The other healers, Zen and even Mercy need to have better positions since they have no self-defensive abilities like a stun or a sleep.
Maybe, just MAYBE, it was a HORRIBLE idea to make Brigitte into a main healer? Who would have thought that a main healer with a shield, stun, boop, and ultimate armor would make for a main healer that is hard to kill? Its almost like she was a hybrid tank healer at one point and should be tanky with crappy heals so your team pays a price for picking her like zenyatta does with low healing.

I do think it’s healthy for the game to have a healer that can stand up for themselves when they are being dived, however mechanical skill needs to be required imo.
Inspire honestly ruined Brigitte, it does excessive amounts of invisible healing so her team is pumped full of healing with little to no effort.

What’s sickening is there is a bunch of ways to rein in Brigitte by giving her actual weaknesses, IE distance reduction on repair pack, reduce inspire range, or reduce inspire self heal. But instead they opt to make her this weird inbetween where she heals excessively, is the tankiest support, and still brigitte mains hate her because she’s no longer a tank support, but just an akward fat main support.

I my opion the only skillless part about Brig’s kit is the repair pack ability. The rest does need avereage mechanics and gamesense.
The problem with reworking Brig is that you have to basically adjust all dive heros as well if you change her strength.

Not a lot of people are playing Moira either, and she requires little skill too.
Nobody is playing them because they can’t in a casual environment, heroes like Brigitte are forced to be underpowered in casual play because they become overpowered in professional play. This does not mean the hero does not require little skill.
