Receiving salt when playing Sym and instakill a Tracer

Title.

There’s times where I instantly kill a flanking Tracer with an orb (120 dmg) and melee (30 dmg). Or less commonly a turret bomb and a orb combo.
The Tracer players would say “Symmetra players like you are the reason why this game is dying”. - Coming from level 25 accounts

I don’t know exactly how many times I’ve been raged at and been of playing a “vile cancerous” hero. I like to play niche characters (Sym, Sombra, Mei) to embrace people not to underestimate them. I don’t prefer to play meta characters most of the time because their playstyles are less fun and overrated. This is in mostly arcade and quick play games btw.

Somehow players complain about a Sym melee (30-) and orb (120- ) but not the cowboy with Fan The Hammer or Doomfist punch? Gives me the idea Sym is probably of the most disliked characters in the DPS roster or overall game.

Being a Sym main makes you a one-trick but if you are Tracer-main, you are a Tracer-main. - OW community

Those tears are delicious. Not as delicious as the reddit Lucios that get roasted by a turret nest on their epic twitch clip flank attempt though.

Mostly because

  1. Symm mains “I expect the team to build a team comp around me”
  2. Tracer mains “Do whatever, I’m really self reliant”

Her turrets are no-skill and are pretty unfun to play against. I’ve never heard anyone complain about the right click tho.

You don´t play meta - you get yelled at. No matter if you are goot or bad with off meta heroes. You get used to it. :woman_shrugging:

I do not like Symmetra either, but that has nothing to do with her players. I feel like people should make that distinction. The character is annoying. The player is not some malicious force. Lol.

Yesterday had someone complain about why is symm still in the game after I had played symm on horizon, while they were playing dva.

Self-reflection is not the strongest suite of OW playerbase. :woman_shrugging:

Yeah, I actually had a GM player on an alt die to this combo like 8 times while they were boosting someone.

Math is fundamental.

OP, killing Tracer with the orb melee combo requires more skill and timing than anything she has to do to mess up a Sym. That player is salty and wrong.

It’s a high risk high reward move and it payed off for you.

symm hate is really funny on the liajang map (market and garden) especially if your team ignores the fact sym can teleport up to that window fall down and place all her turrets in like 5 seconds. usually they are not paying attention or giving no respect to symmetra

There’s a reason why smurfs are so toxic, because they keep getting banned on their main-account, I used to be Masters and it was honestly the most toxic experience I’ve ever experienced in an online game, I used to play CS:GO and while that was close, Masters still topped it. So yeah it’s not surprise so many people have issues with toxic smurfs, because the high end of this game is just a cesspool of toxicity

Also it’s funny they’re raging on Tracer, the most overpowered hero in the game currently and has been for a very long time

People will use anything to deflect blame and take responsibility when they get outplayed OP, thats how it goes.

If you win against me, you are a tryhard/exploiting OP hero. If you lose “haha you noob”.

There’s definitely some people of this mindset, I got called a Sym OTP several times in chat because I started on Sym… by the end of the game I’d played four different dps and got PotG with Pharah.

And this person still insisted I was an OTP.
