Reasons for picking your main role

What made you choose your main role?

For me personally, I’m a support main because;

1.- I enjoy more helping others instead of dealing damage

2.- Short Q times

3.- I like being able to heal myself

4.- Those free endorsements and “Thanks” :smirk:

DPS because it’s my lowest role currently

I don’t enjoy Masters so have no motivation to play support and I’m sure if I play tank enough it’ll hit Masters too

You’ll enjoy playing Protection Paladin in WoW then, think Rein without his broken damage, able to heal yourself, and instant tank queues.

My favourite characters are on the dps role but I also

This reversed I enjoy helping my team by making kills and peeling cuz whenever I flex for tickets I want to jump off the highest mountain when I see how my dps play

I was a tank / support main, before roleQ, because hey someone had to play them. I’m a DPS main now, because sweet lord tanking and supporting suck hard in this game.

I’d switch to dps too if there was a dps I could reasonably switch roles too… (tho from gameplay footage, that may change when sojoun is released :eyes:)

Damage is the most fun for me. I enjoy being independent and not relying on others so much for heals/peels. I also love the great diversity among the damage heroes, whatever im in the mood for there is a hero to go with that.

I primary play(ed) tank because Orisa charmed me…but I don’t play much anymore due to terrible matchmaker.

Trolling

If you tilted them so hard half the enemy team is constantly looking behind. You done good work.

What do I do if I’m a DPS/Tank main lol

Uh, DPS… well, it has my favorite character in the role. And Junkrat, who I enjoy.

Tank… it’s about as basic as you’d expect. Being the big guy on the field who can take a few more hits and is intimidating is fun

Well, overall I play DPS and Support fairly balanced, but DPS was my first role. It wasn’t really something general about it, more like my first main Widowmaker is a DPS character so, that was my entry point into the role and it went from there. I like the appeal of being able to play from a distance and attack from perches. Long distance has always been my specialty.

I feel the most in control when I play Support.

Support has alot of survivability options, ontop of playmaking abilities. I can control when I get healed, and can position where I know I’ll get peeled for.

On Tank/Dps… I feel so out of control. On Dps I feel like I never get healed, and on Tank I feel like nobody does anything correctly lmao

I will never understand how you get away with these TL spots like 5 feet from their spawn.

Keep on trolling. God I love Sombra.

Honestly? Role queue. I was a flex player. Didn’t see myself as anything specific. Then suddenly I had to decide what I wanted to play for the entire match. Didn’t enjoy tank enough to pick that. Loved my time on Tracer and Ashe and McCree but certainly wasn’t gonna sit around in a 10+ minute queue for a ~5 minute match. So I went for support since I was familiar enough with all the heroes there and could play more than one well enough I wouldn’t be screwed if someone picked my best support hero before I could. And so I became a support main.

dps because i like killing things :upside_down_face:

i play all roles, mostly dps and healer but i will play tank every now and then. the main reason i pick dps is well yea, i like being the one to deal damage, i simply think its the most fun role and i know im not the only one who agree’s. i play whatever i enjoy and think is fun.

Yep, me too… Playing support is the only time I feel like I have any chance of playing the game because when I play tank or dps I never get healed… Meanwhile as Ana I can keep the idiotic-dive-at-the-wrong-time tank alive while also killing that annoying Pharah.
Also I like tbagging slept enemies, even if it kills me :stuck_out_tongue:

Simple. Do you actually ever use the healthpacks near your spawn? :stuck_out_tongue:

The point is not to actually make a kill, it’s to get the enemy team to trickle in.

The annoying bit are the times where you draw away half the enemy team and your team still loses the point in a 5v3 fight.

When the fight moves on, you have to draw on experience to move your setup to match the locations of the chokes.

I don’t actually make kills, and when i do get one i usually only do 30% damage. All i do is disrupt the enemy teams formation and the guy at the lead ends up fighting my team 5v1. That’s it. Your team is disadvantaged 5v6 if you’re Sombra, but if you can stall the enemy and make it so it’s two fights of 5v3’s, you can pull it off.

Of course, i’m bronze, so take my advice with a grain of salt.
