Just played a match, trained the reaper the entire time as a orisa, still died even through my harden. Reason why was cause he simply out healed the damage. No skill, didn’t dodge or strafe it, face tanked all the damage through healing. I swear balance has gone down the toilet recently in OW, similar to other blizzard IP’s
So the reaper walked into your team and solo’d you and the problem is his healing.

Pretty sure you’re exaggerating but isn’t that a matchup in favor of Reaper already? IMO Orisa just isn’t that great at killing, but Reaper is.
Reaper is pretty awful right now, but Orisa is a poor matchup against him.
I’m not exaggerating, I spent my harden and pumped into him and he barely won, along with my entire team and support for that matter did nothing to help me. Which is pretty much why I died, yet it’s absurd he’s able to sit there and face tank that amount of damage, and kill you to boot regardless of whether its a good matchup or not. I didn’t seek him out to 1v1 him, he just ported behind and was ripping up the backline.

Really most of what you think is an issue is kinda what he’s supposed to do. Kill the backline and be good in a close up duel.
Also as Electro71 and I have already said, it was a bad matchup for Orisa already.
Maybe improve and learn how to shield dance lol. There’s no way he would’ve won if you shield danced and shot his head.

IKR. Tbh Orisa is kinda dangerous in close quarters if you actually aim for the head. Especially if she has all her cooldowns available (or just being boosted by her ult)
So Reaper does 120 with all pellets (20 pellets each dealing 6 damage) connecting on a naked target, headshots not included but for posterity, it goes to 240 without multipliers.
With armor, it’s dropped to -50%, totaling to a meagerly 60 (20p*3dmg) damage with all shots connecting.
Which is further dropped by Orisa’s Fortify, with each pellet going down to 1.2 damage per, totalling to 24 per shot.
Now, Reaper’s lifesteal is 35% of all damage he deals, including melee strikes, so in order we addressed earlier, in terms of maximum potential;
- 240 (hs) on an unarmored target: 84 health per shot
- 120 on an unarmored target: 42 health per shot
- 60 on an armored target: 21 health per shot
- 24 per shot on a forified Orisa: 8.4 health per shot
Now, if you’re meaning to tell me that a Reaper was able to outheal Orisa’s fusion driver (11 dmg per pellet, 12.5 rounds per second) by himself, during fortify, you’re either lying about him doing this by himself, you didn’t see him getting assistance, or he quite literally wasn’t being hit.
Even moreso is that it’s likely his accuracy wasn’t perfect, meaning the damage values are likely even lower in actuality.
With Fortify up, nah. Orisa dumpsters Reaper pretty consistently if she just uses fortify whenever she sees him.
If you let reaper get that close to you, he deserves the kill and the fault is on you/your team.
while fighting reaper is hard sometimes
but i had my time when i win duel if i had pull and fortify, and if i had shield its even better i just shield dance
reaper barely do any damage vs armor, with fortify he should do less than 30 damage a shot… if my math are right

Reaper does like ~24 damage vs Orisa when she does Fortify, he’s going to heal like ~9 health per shot. Reaper can’t do anything vs a fortified Orisa.
