While I can understand Reaper might need some cleaning up or whatnot balance or kit wise, I strongly can’t even fathom trying to say Cassidy requires less aim. I find playing Reaper to be the easiest of the DPS to generally land shots, escape, and press Q to win a fight. My aim isn’t the best or most consistent, and I generally perform way better on Reaper than Cassidy.
If you want a true experience of what you said, play Symmetra. That’s truly the hero that has to get close and aim/build up her weapon… with too low of HP and no free escape like Wraith. He’s not winning the game, but he certainly isn’t aim intensive or even the worst at his respected playstyle. Poor… poor Symmetra.
It depends on the rank and who you are trying to kill. You are playing 4d chess sometimes when shoot a kiriko or illari due to how small their hitboxes are combined with the spread. Also, who do you play against where you are able to q and kill people reliably without getting booped, cc’d (or them just moving out of it)? That last one is a serious question
Egh, when I played Rank I was Plat way back when. Only play QP now and Reaper was an easy mode hero to play. Even a usually drunk or high friend would wipe the enemy with Reaper since his aim didn’t need to be strong and that ult can kill squishy heroes before they could react.
Granted I guess I haven’t played or messed with him quite as much since the Moira/Tracer/Sombra/Sojourn overlords took over in Season 9. Their small hitboxes and movement abilities aren’t nice to Reaper. So like the Moira defenders scream it’s the metas fault she had top pick and win rates, I guess the same could apply to Reaper.
Nah, rank shaming won’t help cover up Reaper is in no way more aim intensive than Cassidy. That’s just straight up untrue. Reaper would have to likely give up some survivability if you want him to be more dangerous with his input.
the fact that you got rank shaming out of that prooves you shouldnt be arguing man.
im talking about “way back when”
Oh like how wraith is worse in OW2? Cuz it cant escape as many abilities or ults now? Or how wraith has been bugged since season 4? Or how he has less self healing when a DPS shoots him? That survivability nerf.
Or how his shotguns deal less damage in OW2. so he gets less self healing.
Still play, just not the showcase of wounded egos that is Ranked.
Wraith still is a disengage or engage tool that beats others in spades. DPS change still hurts other DPS as well unless you’re only looking at it in 1v1’s cause they’ll receive less healing to from supports. I get it though, you want him stronger and only want to point out his weaknesses and act like he takes way more aiming than he actually does.
You can say you think he needs buffs/help, but the idea he takes more aim than most of the DPS roster is absurd still.
His rework can’t come soon enough. I played the hell out of the game for the first couple weeks after the Sombra rework (I’m not sorry for abusing her), but Reaper has always been a favorite of mine, just too easy to counter and a bit contradictory. I mean, a very loud flanker who’s perfectly capable of shredding most tanks? Makes about as much sense to me as Cassidy’s kit and how his primary is meant for med-range, he has a large hit box, and the rest of his kit is mostly for CQC.
