I have been deeply disappointed by Reaper nerfs in OW2 beta, he felt like he was shooting wet nuddles at enemies. They reverted some of the spread nerfs and my thoughts after playing him for ~20 games in ranked - he isn’t bad!
Refreshing to see Reaper not being useless. Lack of stuns makes you live long time, as long you don’t feed to hard or get sniped by Hanzo. His matchups against tanks are decent, although D.Va makes flanking and using ult difficult. Sneaking on supports and snipers is easier than in OW1 simply because there are less players to notice you in time. Playing in brawl feels very good, and he may be considered even great pick (not just okay). Lucio speeding you, getting bubble from Zarya and you can unleash amazing dps.
DPS passive greatly benefits Reaper, because movement speed helps you chase kills and makes your ult a lot better as well. He isn’t as good as op Sojourn, but I feel like I can play on most of the maps and have impact. Feels good!
