I’ve always wondered why reaper cannot escape junkrats trap in wraith form it makes no sense to me.

same way a unstoppable rocket charging man gets trapped with a bear trap.

Junkrat’s trap can capture and hold:

  • Giant tanks
  • A teleporter
  • A cloud of smoke
  • Someone who actually floats and does not touch the ground

Logic.

It is kinda odd that Moira & Reaper can fade/wraith out of Grav, but can’t escape Junks trap lol

My logical explanation that fits with lore. Junkrat trap has some magnetic elements (so he catches echo, zen and sigma). This magnetic properties can disrupt some movement abilities (blink). But also, the trap has a lot of rust and bacteria that disrupt the fading abilities reached by biotechnology used by moira, so moira and reaper can not decompone their biological materia and recompone it later because of the interaction of rust, bacteria and magnetism.

Junkrat has created a masterpiece in engineering without knowing it, and just using trash.
