Reaper in gm is 4 times more picked than Bastions

0,23% vs. 0,06%!

It’s actually not funny and very depressing.

I don’t get the comparison…

Reaper got buffed recently. He’s pretty fun to use right about now. Bastion hasn’t been changed in a while, so there’s no new incentive to use him.

Both have way to low pickrates. Both need a good rework.

Hanzo in gm is 69 times more picked than Reapers

hero has low pickrate literally everyone on forums “oh i guess they need a rework :/”

Honestly, a hero who have had a low pickrate since season 2, i’d say kinda makes sense to think that he needs a rework… I for one think he COULD work with just some number tweaking… other than a rework on his Shadow Step (E) tho…

Bastion is an example of “blizz balance”. Even when really strong hero released who’s hard countered by Bastion, he is still the least picked hero in GM. Hello darkness my old friend…

0.06? Wow, Bastion managed to double his playtime since last week! There’s hope for him yet! /s

reaper just needs the hanzo treatment replace shadow step with something and he’ll be fine. he’s an hero that only has one trick while most have 2.

Hm, its more than just that, by design he has almost no range to his damage, his guns are binary, meaning he wont do much damage from a distance, its way too random, look at this :

h ttps://us.forums.blizzard.com/en/overwatch/t/reapers-spread-is-binary/113838/5

Unless he has way too many tools that arent just point-blank damage dealing, he wont be viable, i suppose a very good tool that counters Defense Matrix and CC could do it… tho true to the Hanzo treatment, not just replacing Shadow Step… spread could use some love… like 20% reduction would go a long way… specially since it acts this weird way.

i’d expect his life steal getting buffed a bit more with whatever new skill he got. might be enough. it all depends on that shadow step replacement.

At the end of the day Reaper is a character in a shooter whose guns are crap

He’s dead by design

He has a similiar design to but is opposite to Widow , both characters are completely dependant on their guns, when Widow is viable, Reaper isnt… and since the game has very few close ranged encounters, its mostly or long (Widow) or medium (dive/BrigHanzo)… Reaper wont be viable on this iteration unless the game has like 5 more maps that are so closed you cant play anything but Reaper/Junkrat and you’d prolly take the latter cuz hes not screwed over by armor and cc as much…

Reaper’s problem is that even in close range he cant do jack to most heroes because of small as hell hitboxes, movility and ridiculous spread

Yeah, i mean, hes very threatening upclose but thats only when you dont have CC to just outright rekt him/Defense Matrix to just eat all of his dmg/Armor to eat half of his dps/Mobility to never let him get near you/Luck so his binary spread decides to fk him over… thats a bit too many counters for a character to be good… at least 1 or 2 of these problems have to be taken care of, or he is much better at hit and running or hes nigh-unstoppable when hes near you, is what i say.

0.23 and 0.06? saying 4 times that way makes it look like reaper’s in a great shape right now.

following the same example, Mercy has around 251 times the pickrate of bastion.

T-Thats the joek… haHAA

that was a joke, they both lowest
