I just can’t stand seeing Reaper in every singular match, comp or qp. I swear, there’s no variety anymore, Reaper especially. Thoughts? Are you tired to constantly verse certain characters?

this is the closest Reaper has been to being decent in Overwatch 2 and people are still complaining, crazy

It’s a well-deserved break from the usual hitscans and dive DPS. I also don’t mind getting killed by Reaper, becuase most of them have his Anubis skin, so I at least get killed while watching this god walk at me with those killer abs.

Getting killed by Reaper is a skill check. He has a large hitbox, needs to get close and is loud.
While you can get randomly killed by Junkrat it doesnt happen often. Positioning is key like always. Dont walk into small rooms or choke points blindlessly.

What could be a possible issue with these two? I wish I have these two in every match against me. Free SR, unless you are a silver tank player.
I think we are missing the point… I am just saying I am bored of seeing and versing the same characters over and over again… I didn’t mention Dva because there must be hundreds of threads already… I guess OW is boring me this season, I dunno. @Nicosia Yes and no. What if I sleep the Reaper, ping them on the ground and nobody in my team cares? Junkrat is just annoying; 225 hps supports make his dumb assassination combo viable; Junk feels cheap and cheesy. I’d argue Reaper kinda feels the same if the team doesn’t acknowledge you can punish them when they use Wraith poorly. Summing up, I don’t really agree with Nicosia.
Why not just go Pharah? Easy way to ruin their fun.
Personally I’d prefer to fight against a Junkrat or Reaper over a Sombra but thats just me.

dawg. I’d kill to get more reapers in my games and less cassidy.
I don’t get people’s problems with reaper. He’s not difficult to manage and he doesn’t have mindless overly oppressive abilities to play against.

You mean like Genji, Ashe, Widow, Cree, Sombra? All of whom have had time in the spotlight since day 1 of OW2?
First time Reaper has been viable in literal years and people want him nerfed before half a season has even past.
Worst part is you’ll probably get your wish the way this dev team bends over backwards when it comes to wanting to make Reaper permanently unplayable.

Do people not play pharah anymore? It’s so easy to deal with junk and reaper with a pharah. Add a pocket mercy on top pf that and it’s an easy gg. Cassidy is also really good vs these 2 heroes. If you are tank, you can go zarya and you will always be charged up from the junk, anyone your reaper goes after thats gets bubbled is also free charge to delete. If you are on support, go ana or bap.

Reaper and Junkrat really are pretty strong right now. Honestly, I think they could both use a small nerf as they got buffed quite a bit by the 225 change.
Also if you look at the heroes with both a high winrate and a decent pickrate (ignoring the ones that can’t even manage 2%) then it’s actually Reaper and Junkrat doing the best.
It’s obnoxious. And this is a perfect example why top down balancing does not work.
Now heros like junk and reaper are so much easier than playing a hitscan the average player is throwing by not selecting an ease of use dps….
This just isn’t fun. Please just consider balancing around some heros just being unplayable in gm as it is %1 of the player base and we are %99 percent.
It’s an easy financial decision honestly

Nah not so much this season, he is very beefy at 300hp and synergises very well with Juno
One of the few dps that can still duel tanks
I’m playing him a lot cos he doesn’t just fall over and die to dive tanks, like Torb

I highly doubt you are seeing Reaper in every single game. And even if that were true, he has a lot of counters anyway.
