Really weird controller problem?

So I have a Xbox One controller that I use to play on Xbox that suddenly has started to act really weird when playing Overwatch. I say weird as in the Game menus and Hero select screen it will endlessly scroll through the options and only stops for a split second if you tilt the left analog stick the other way. But during the actual games I play it doesn’t cause my character to move around funnily or mess up my screen like you think it would, only on the menus does it act buggy. I’ve tried closing out of Overwatch and restarting my console in several different ways and controller but nothing has worked. This problem also only happens with Overwatch as I have tried it out with games like Fortnite and applications such as Twitch and haven’t had a problem using it on their menus. I’ve kind of started losing hope and I don’t really know what I need to do. Can anyone please help me?

I do have been having the same exact problem as you. I even bought a new controller (one of the $20 USD) wired ones and I was having the same problem still. It is getting really annoying. Since I did sent in my controller for repairs because I thought it was stick drift, not to mention I needed my audio plug in replaced since it was giving me problems. However, the day I got my controller back, I still had the same problem.

From some research that I did, apparently Overwatch on Xbox has a really low dead zone when it comes to the stick placements. Which could be a cause. Honestly, this problem needs to get addressed as it is the only game that the endless scrolling occurs for myself.

Please don’t bump old inactive threads. If you have an issue you want help with it is pretty much always advised to create your own thread instead of bumping another. Even if a thread is days old it is still advised to create your own because this makes it easier for a Blizzard representative to help someone instead of it becoming a mess of people who assume they have the same issue but may not.
