Countless topics and I have not seen Blizzard reply once. I am worried that Blizzard might actually make Brigette available in season 10 as is. They have not acknowledged at all that she is broken or needs a rework
This is causing a lot of toxicity too because everyone is being kept in the dark and worried that they think she is fine. Please say something Blizzard
To be honest, when I battle against brigette she seems fine, but I’m not sure…could you explain how she is “broken?”
No matter what tank i play no matter how hard i flex if the enemy has a brig my team loses. This is ridiculous. its every-single game too. Just never ending battles of moira orbs and auto aim maces.
I have never had such a horrible time playing OW than i have the past few weeks.
I’ve played her plenty and have played against her even more. No matter who I use, I have no difficulty with fighting against her. Only ones who have difficulty are those that have to be near her to do damage. Other than that, She’s easy to take care of. Definitely not broken, but, I do fear she may be a bit underpowered when she hits comp.
I did notice that if I look at nearly anyone’s winrates who has a few hours of her, Brigitte always seems to be the top.
At least in qp, Brigitte is really the go-to. Low skill, high output, really strong ultimate, decent tanking capabilities, great damage. Only thing she can’t do is take out enemies on highgrounds.
Well, just to say…blizzard has been doing some experimenting with these heros to see what would work and how to make the game different, either easier or more difficult depending on the hero, this is similar to the hate of Moira, Moira is said to be to OP even though because no one really knows how to take her down, same thing now with brigette…what I’m saying is, blizzard worked hard on making these hybrid heros and we should at least respect that
I would be more upset at this point if Blizzard actually nerfs Brig before she gets to competitive, because it’d completely negate the whole idea of “oh yeah, let’s way two months before we actually see this character being played in any meaningful way, because we need to see if she’s too strong/weak.”
Quickplay and Arcade aren’t displays of a character being broken, they’re just showing people have no idea how to play around said character. If they nerf her now, they’ve completely tossed out the idea of QP being the testing ground for a character’s skills just to throw her into Comp without letting her new changes settle.
I’m sorry, but the way I see it, every hero requires skill. I know you’re tired of hearing this, but being good at aiming will only get you so far. And just because a hero doesn’t rely on mechanical aim doesn’t mean they don’t require any skill. By that definition, apparently Reinhardt and Winston don’t require skill, either.
Also, Brigitte does not have good damage. Far from it. Maybe with the Shield Bash combo, but that requires you to burn some cooldowns, which, to me, is not worth it unless you stun Tracer.

That’s just inexperience once people understand how to fight her it will become easier.
I still don’t know how to fight her if I’m a tank the 5s CD is a killer.
They will not nerf her before she enters competitive. She’s supposed to be a meta changing hero. Why would they nerf her before she’s had the chance to interact with the current dive meta? Makes no sense.
That’s the only thing she has over tanks, her healing and damage is lackluster.
Because she’s not broken and she doesn’t need a rework. She’s fine the way she is.
Can we at least see her in a competitive environment first? If they nerf her now, and it ruins her, well have to wait months before we get a buff to fix her. That’s what happened to doomfist.

Versus a regular comp, she’s fine.
Magically, 5 DPS comps have issues? I call foul.
Every hero takes some skill, but Brigitte is a low skill hero. That’s not an insult or anything, I actually main a low skill hero in competitive and have done for some time. I find them fun, but really, there’s no reason to pretend that they’re anything other than an easier alternative to the aim based heroes. They don’t require more game sense just because they require less mechanical skill.
Reinhardt is absolutely a low skill hero too. Winston a bit less so, but still very easy to play.
And Brigitte can do 190 unavoidable damage after hitting someone with her first melee swing. Enough to send close ranged Reapers running to the hills. Not many heroes can do that. Basically a guaranteed death for any 200hp hero too.
Play Orisa. Brigitte is nearly useless against her. Fortify when she tries to stun you then shoot her until she falls. The only way she gets another stun chance is if your monitor is off.
And yes, you can even do this while under heavy enemy fire. I can, and I’m a mediocre Orisa on a good day.
Ok so my perspective
Zenyatta - Cannot do anything long range when she has her sheild up which when tested does not break easily either. And obviously at close range you just get outplayed horribly, there is no contest unless your team is actually helping you specifically
Doomfist - Left click, nothing with sheild. Right click, nothing with sheild dash stun
Those have been the main 2 heroes I played recently but I have played many others, like rein, with same issues. No other hero is this overpowered and considered not broken. She has too much in her kit and each thing she has is overpowered in its own right. If she goes it comp it is going to cause major issues for many players and all the cheap players will be using her easy kit to climb into ranks where outside of brigette they do not belong
that 190 dmg how long does it take compared to other characters?
Switch heroes. Brigitte is very effective against several close range heroes and her fellow supports. I would suggest using Pharah, Soldier, Zarya, Orisa, or ANY defense hero. They all work well against her.
I’ve heard people say they have good success as a support against her using Ana (antiheal), Lucio (mobility), and Moira (damage and fade). Only personally had success with Moira.
