Really disappointed with Blizzard Gear Store

First off, I appreciate the fact that the Overwatch League stuff went on a great sale, but it’s really disappointing to see how bad Blizzard is at operating their store. Not only has my order from almost two weeks ago not shipped yet (whatever, I understand lots of orders means delays) but now they’ve cancelled the joggers that I ordered due to “inventory issues”.

I understand, inventory management can be difficult in a busy time like a massive sale, but now I almost definitely will not be able to purchase what I really wanted in the first place, since the item is now out of stock and definitely won’t go back in stock before the sale is over.

I’m just waiting until my entire order is cancelled due to “inventory issues” and I end up with none of the items I really wanted to buy.

PS: I ordered the same day the sale went live, well before things started going out of stock.

PPS: They accepted my money a week after my initial purchase, and since then it’s still processing without any indication it will be shipped any time soon. Also I haven’t gotten a refund for the joggers yet but I’m sure that’ll come in soon… right?

Not only that, but the removed the Overwatch League bomber jacket from the store entirely

I’m super unimpressed how Blizzard has handled the Gear Store this season. This is not the first time you’ve had a large sale, folks, FIGURE IT OUT.

Honestly what really frustrates me is that I have to pay extra because Blizzard screwed up.

I ordered over $100 USD in merchandise, so shipping was free. But because they’ve canceled an item due to ‘inventory issues’, I’m on the hook for shipping if I want to purchase it at a later date. This would be significantly more of an issue if I had to get it shipped to Canada instead of to a friend in the US – international shipping, even for just a T-shirt, is expensive.

I can only imagine how frustrating it would be if you were forced to pay more for the item and extra shipping.

And all because Blizzard doesn’t seem to know how to properly manage inventory. Other companies manage it just fine, Blizzard. There’s no excuse, just poor management.

Really not impressed.
