the real problem with doomfist is the fact that
- every ability gives him shields
- he has a base health of 250 and his passive gives him up to 400HP same as zarya and sigma)
- every ability is an escape option for him
- you have little to no reaction time
- rocket punch is a guaranteed OHKO for what seems like every character in the roster
doomfist has too much in his kit and does too much in his kit. he needs actual, impactful nerfs otherwise he’s going to be the reason people keep leaving the game.
either his passive needs to be removed or he needs to be nerfed to 200hp and rocket punch HAS. TO. BE. NERFED.
how is a 4 sec. ability that can do literally almost as much damage as a reinhardt charge allowed? if anything it should be a 5 second cooldown minimum and do 200-150 damage.
to be perfectly honest doomfist is the only problem the game truly has and it’s about time he got some actual balancing or else he’s going to remain the most problematic character in overwatch that’s going to either drive players away or cause more discourse within the player base because no one like fighting against a doomfist-- not even in the high elos.

sorry going to have to disagree on that. cc can kill anyone just ask any tank main that still plays the game.
if u trying to ask for nerf for a hero atleast try play that hero for minimum of 10 hours on COMPETITIVE MODE and do decent with him

i don’t think that’s the case but that’s your onion. he can go from 250 to 400hp without trying and then then press one button to kill you. i’d say that’s a problem
I don’t think he deserves a nerf, but I AM very tired of the hero. He has insane value as a carry hero in mid to low tiers, regularly getting 2-3-4 picks on his own in a fight, and is hard for pugs to counter at those levels. I feel the same about buffed Genji, might be time to take another break for awhile if those go through.
Like I said, I actually don’t think they need nerfs, and Genji deserved the damage buff at least. I don’t know if me and every pug I happen to encounter just sucks or if high plat is land of the smurfs, but those two heroes just feel so much more oppressive when they’re good.

Didn’t you just create a thread asking for Ana nerfs? Maybe you just are salty today. Doomfist isn’t OP, and every role has good options for countering him.

Uppercut is not an escape option. It is a death sentence if he does not have any other ability to combo with it.
If you are unobservant? Yes. If you are aware that doomfist exists? No.
Rocketpunch has a long charge time to become lethal. Rocket punch is also not lethal to every character. In fact, many of those who have hp pools in range of his POTENTIAL (not guaranteed) one hit have abilities that dodge, mitigate, or stop doomfist in his tracks.

Well, Doomfist doesn’t have a pick or winrate, presence in OWL, or presence in high end play to suggest he’s overpowered. He’s fairly middle of the pack. That’s the challenge of DPS balance. You end up with overbuffed flavors of the month, a few situational picks, and the rest are basically throws. Rinse and repeat the cycle and that’s DPS balance. Right now the dominating DPS is Ashe, according to overbuff.

My friend a lot of what you just said proves how little you know about Doomfist. He’s far more nuanced than everyone gives him credit for and you fall under that same category. All but one of your problem aspects regarding Doomfist are severely flawed. Here’s a quick dissection of them.

1: This is the only actual potential issue with Doomfist in this post. He could stand to get his passive weakened a little more, however he would still need some form of a compensation buff to counterbalance it.
2: His health is what allows him to operate at all. If he were any squishier he would be almost impossible to get value out of without purely punchbotting, which is in itself a problem.
3: Rocket Punch is his everything tool, that’s how it’s meant too be, Slam being mobility is a bit of a stretch given its range isn’t what it used to be and Uppercut is a death sentence unless used pretty much perfectly.
4: tbh this sounds like a you problem, don’t shift the blame away from yourself because you’re not alert enough to react to a giant man making incredibly loud noises before he tries to start a fist fight against a group of guns.
5: While technically true there are a multitude of factors you are failing to acknowledge.
Rocket Punch is riddled with bugs, (much like the rest of Doomfist’s kit)
It requires a wall impact and at least 3/4 bars of charge to be a OHKO
There is also some wild math that can calculate guaranteed killzones vs not if you factor in any form of healing applied to the punched target. TL;DR Healers can stop the OHKO pretty easily.
Wall impacts must land on a specific angle, anything over that threshold slides and deals 0 damage
ALL allied knockback alters this angle, even if the target is mid punch
The person being punched can force sliders on the right surfaces if they simply jump
Your ideas of Doomfist’s power are incredibly flawed, at least get to know the hero before calling them busted eh buddy?

And Doomfist is very, very easy to hit with CC. He’s not going to be dodging anything with Seismic Slam or Uppercut.

Although I somewhat hated him when he was in every match, he already got enough nerfs and will become complete troll pick if you nerf him even more.
