I am getting harassed online to where I cant even really play the game anymore because of everyone saying I am toxic and I am not. I am not even on vocals or anything to be toxic, and I am getting hazed, so I report those players, yet no actions are being taken against those players, yet my account has been suspended couple times because of false reports and the “game masters” don’t properly look into the situation, and are one sided.
I think the key question here is… WHY are people saying you are toxic?
I can’t think of a single time someone has accused me of that. People don’t do that.
People do, do that, when you don’t play how they want you to play, in lower elos mainly.
Can you give a specific example? false accusations are pretty rare
When I do vc, I make callouts about people being alone or one, and tank I give more specific callouts, i.e abilities used and pathing, and when we lose, I get blamed and flamed for no reason, and I find the people who do that are the ones actually at fault. Then they spread false accusations out to lfg groups, to where I get kicked and even have them tell others in game to report me and stuff for no reason.
Uh huh.
99% of the time, people making topics about how other people are toxic are the toxic ones themselves.
k, so, here’s my one any only tip
you are obviously doing something to trigger those emotions from your teammates. there is not a world where you not saying anything toxic causes you to be blamed repetitively. SO, my idea is try and listen to what you are saying. If you ask a player to swap heroes, ask politely if they can. And if they cannot, try and work around them. Some people choose to specifically learn a hero and not go the extra mile, and being their support so the entire team doesn’t suffer goes WAY further than you’d imagine.
This sub is full of self righteous people, who will now right essays saying your toxic and it’s all your fault and how they haven’t received one ban,(while being on their nth account).
The report system is a flawed by the numbers system.
Just don’t type in chat if people are toxic or turn it off.
It’s the only way to keep your account safe if your human like me who gets enraged if some one swears at you and gives back what is thrown.
So you’re not in voice, but you’re somehow making callouts? Pretty sure we’re not getting the full story here.
If you get easily frustrated with others, don’t join voice and hide text chat. That way you won’t be baited into doing something they can report you for.
So there’s usually 2 ways this sort of thing goes:
The first is this isn’t the whole story. There’s a lot of people who outright harass their teammates then say they were wrongfully punished because “I’m not toxic, just honest.” Those sorts of people don’t deserve any sympathy for getting banned, and since its by far the most common scenario, its why most people are going to accuse you of such.
The second is occasionally you get people accused of trolling/throwing just for their hero picks. Honestly, looking at your profile, I wouldn’t be surprised if this was you. Particularly on DPS, you play a lot of heroes, but are also roughly 500 SR behind your tank and support ranks. Lotta folks like to push the blame on others for a loss, so when they see a Doom or Sombra in silver, they accuse them. Also explains why you might be kicked from LFG groups, they see a low SR and non-meta picks (and honestly some sub optimal winrates) and don’t want to even bother.
So how can you minimize this? Best I can say is try to focus on a smaller selection of heroes (This will also generally help you climb some too). Also if a teammate suggests a swap, genuinely consider it. I know its easy to be stubborn in trying to make it work, or get caught in the “just one more fight for ult” cycle, but sometimes its best to cut your losses, even if you have ult. You could also consider swapping your profile back to private, but LFG might make that harder (iirc there’s a group only option that might work with that.)
