So I just finished watching Ready Player One and like a true nerd I was mostly focused on all the cameos I could find. I knew Tracer was in the movie, but I’m wondering if anyone else spotted another character? (Invisible Sombra doesn’t count). Also, how did the whole negotiations of having Overwatch and Tracer in the movie go down if anybody knows?

I want this to be real. But apparently Reaper was actually in the movie at some point, I don’t know where though

i also just watched to movie and it was amazing. i highly recommend. 9.5/10

So, out of curiosity, does Tracer talk and maintain her typical VA for the movie or is she silent? Is her role tiny as well?

i cringed the entire book while reading as it was just reference after reference. hardly anything worth of substance was written. and unfortunately the movie looks the same. just lol reference for an hour

Minor nitpick, but isn’t the movie based off 80’s pop-culture?

Why would a relatively new character such as Tracer even exist in that world?

Yeah. I felt the same way about the book. The book seems like the people interested were heavily invested in the 80s or their mind was blown by the concept of an MMORPG and didn’t know they existed.

Couldn’t help but notice the OP said, “It was fun.”
