Razer's new keyboard is basically cheating

Many of you probably saw the video. Btw, it’s not only this keyboard that can do it. I think the problem is not the tech, but the game mechanics. Why don’t we have at least some movement inertia, so this stuff doesn’t look that broken?

If it really gets to be that much of a common problem I could see them doing something about it. We used to be able to crouch spam at mach speed…

We don’t have movement inertia because the devs wanted us to be able to enjoy extremely agile, responsive movement compared to almost any other shooter–and I think with how fast some heroes get around the map it’s absolutely necessary that we can stop and turn on a dime. Even with the controls we have, some heroes can end up overshooting pretty easily. The game makes up for this by giving heroes relatively forgiving hitboxes and adding a plethora of tools that don’t need to be aimed precisely. Frankly, every gun in the game shoots melons.

I reckon if this is cheating, then so is stuff like, say: Using a multifunciton mouse to adjust your sensitivity on the fly. Yes, you can do can do cheesy things that might give you a bit of an advantage, but you’ll mostly just embarass yourself. Like, I’m not seeing a bunch of spin-to-rez-fools in GM. I think we’ll be fine.

I have the wooting 60 he and it’s not cheating. If you have bad timing your moment is still going to be bad

My main problem is that this looks stupid. But it is also unfair.

STOP ASKING FOR THIS. OW is unique BECAUSE it doesn’t have movement acceleration.

I’ve been against a moira and a cassidy in separate games who were obviously using one of these keyboards and admitted it in chat when I asked. It’s a massive advantage. Tracking them as zarya is impossible.

It should be trivial to detect these keyboards are being used by the constant instant-switching and no overlap giving zero movement. I mean, really trivial.

I hope they get banned. Otherwise, as someone said, the strafing needs intertia so these keyboards are not as impactful.
