what was your original review of ow when you started playing (1-10)
and what is your current opinion on the game (1 -10)
On launch: 8/10
Now: 5/10, it’s just frustrating to play in the current meta.
OW is funny, because i’ve got more hours on it than Skyrim, Fallout 4 and The Witcher combined.
I really did love this game and i’d give it a 10 for being a great game with some of the best heroes ever seen.
Now, i hate it like no game ever. It’s infuriating to try and play with random people and have them constantly ruin the experience. I suppose that means, my SR.
What could fix it? How do you fix the random players? Well, you make it so they can’t ruin your personal experience.
Entirely personal SR.
I’d rather just watch my actual hidden MMR rise and fall based on my own performance than have throwers and terrible players constantly dragging my SR down.
ya i agree i would give 9/10 intially.
its like once youve spent enough time in game you learn how grouping up should work and basically learn how to actually play (not chase kills, peel, keep a front line, keep line of sight on healers.) then you realize for some reason its just not happening.
id say 4/10 lately i wanna play but i feel like every game win or lose is just not very fun.
i also love dive its fun to play and no you cant run it because nodody will agree to the comp, because its dead now lol
10/10 : It taught me what humans are really like. we humans seem to relish in idol individualism rather than teamwork. History says “look what humans can do when they work together”…Overwatch says "look what happens when you take 6 random players who don’t know each other and ask them to work together.
Instead of treating the hero’s as a tool set…they attach themselves to a personality and identification. ’
tldr; Overwatch is a great tool for psychological research…solves they mystery why we’d rather kill each other or step on each other, than improve our environment and society.
First started: 9/10
As of now: 3/10
Every new hero ruins the game further. Nobody plays at their actual rank or skill level. You are punished for performing well in matches. You are FORCED to carry players who could care less about the game. Blizzard doesn’t listen to the community. Jeff is too obssessed with punishing toxic players instead of finding solutions to why these players became frustrated in the first place. Most skins are just recolors. 2 years out and they have never updated competitive rewards. Wins feel like nothing because steam roll. Losses are the worst because steam roll. Actually let me change something.
As of now: -1/10
worst fps shooter I have ever played. Atleast with CoD you had a decent understanding of how good you were and how good the people you were playing against were. Overwatch just sucks at eveeything.
I would say 9 when i started s2 an 3 now s10
yeah and cod is a lone wolf do it yourself game…name a team game plz.
When this game released it was the most fun game I ever played, and tore me away from WoW which nothing was able to do for 10+ years. Now I can’t even find myself able to log in and play.
7 for everything but comp and esports
2 for comp
-10 for esports
Launch 8/10
Now 3/10
Did you just describe Overwatch like it’s some wildlife show on the discovery channel?
Original: 10/10. Wow I never played a game like this. So amazing. Imagine how great it will be with all the improvements and stuff.
Now: 8/10. Honeymoon phase is over. Game didn’t progress as much as i hoped it would. Still fun though.
Just noticed a lot of nyxl fans here
8 at first, now a solid 9. This game has potential to be a 10 but a few tweaks are needed, mostly to do with matchmaking.
This game would definitely make a great case study one day.
You have paid professionals who have 0 qualms about subbing in and out or swapping characters when something is going wrong.
but if I play 10 games right now, I will rarely see a swap (usually a tank). and if you ask anyone to swap you would think you were spitting on them or stepping on they shoes
its truly mind blowing
genji vs winston, sym, sombra or mei
hey genji can you swap
“SCREW YOU IM DOING GREAT” lol.
just… truly… mind blowing…
oh, right now id rate about 3/10. The GAME itself, is decent even though current meta makes it more of a snooze fest. The match making and community is easily the worst ive seen in my near 31 years of life.
When I started playing I would probably rank it around 6 or even 7, it was not perfect but it was rather decent.
Now I’d probably put it in around 3 or 4, simply because they’ve yet to address many of the issues that the game had in the beginning, like the MM system and their inaction towards toxic players. I don’t feel they’ve done that much in the department of bettering the enjoyment of the game.
Original? 8
Was a well polished release that had few bugs. Some characters were OP/UP, but holistically the game was good.
Now? 9
Nothing but improvements have happened. The viability of the entire roster, as a whole, have gone up despite the entire pool getting larger. The new characters released have their own identities and are interesting to play. Most broken aspects of the game have been fixed and apart from a few lagging heroes, the game is looking pretty great.
Initially, 9.5
Now, 8.0
Game itself: 9
Competitive experience s1 - s3: 8
And then with each passing season after that you can subtract a point per season.
Used to play hundreds of hours in the early season, haven’t even played 2 hours yet in S10 and I’m not sure if I’m gonna even bother to complete placements this season tbh.
I really want to play but each time I hit the OW icon I ask myself how high is the chance I’m actually gonna get a good competitive experience? And it’s just not high enough and I don’t play because if I do play some comp I know I’m just gonna be angry/frustrated with all the factors out of my control and inevitable losses I could already see coming at character select.
8/10 for launch and now. Still a great game, people are just crybabies.
