As a long time Hog main, my signature ult move is drag their tank to the corner to ensure they can’t escape and give them the taste of my Whole Hog, they will all die in an instant. Every one of them even when they’re being healed from distance.
It was useful strat for me in OW2 since I know it puts their whole team at danger (unlike OW1 that had secondary tank to stall) and paves the way for my team to push.
But Mauga? He survives ALL THE DAMN TIME AND I END UP GETTING HURT. What FRUSTRATE me is that I have to constantly rely and waste my ult on him and there’s no guarantee he will die. It gets worse when my team has a Tracer, Sombra, Genji, Symmetra, Junkrat and the snipers who are a non-threat to tanks.
He ticks all the box to evade near death situation. Health, DMG and evading ability that makes it nearly impossible to quickly shut him down alone. On top of that, healers sticking themselves to him like a super glue. There’s literally no shortcuts.
TLDR - Mauga ruins all the fun. When shows up at the door, I feel de-motivated.
