After playing quite a few hours of this gamemode, here are my impressions on the power levels of each hero.
-
Hades Pharah - it’s ridiculous how OP she is in this gamemode. Who on Earth thought that putting Pharah into a hero pool with 4 close range tanks, Lucio and Widowmaker? The only hero you can even hope to counter her with is Widow, but even then Pharah’s ridiculous ultimate makes it hard to lose a game.
-
Hermes Lucio. He’s ridiculously difficult to land a hit on, and now he has a stun on a short cooldown. Lucio is already one of the most annoying heroes in the game to deal with and his presence in this gamemode makes it a Fly Swatting Simulator when he’s jumping and skating all around at 300x speed with his ult.
-
Cyclops Roadhog - Roadhog is broken as it is, so it’s a no brained that he’s powerful in this gamemode. The only hero that can really stop him is Junker Queen, but Hog has a lot of good matchups against the other heroes. Due to the jump pads added to some of the maps, he has all the mobility he needs to reach those pesky Widows and sometimes Pharahs to get kills. Plus, his ult is busted.
-
Zeus Junker Queen - The mother of all gods is right in the middle of the pack power wise. I gravitated to her the most, and I found that she has pretty consistent gameplay outside of her ult as well. Her ult isn’t as good as some of the other heroes, but she can absolutely shred the other tanks and even deal with some of the more annoying heroes.
-
Minotaur Reinhardt - Maybe not the best of the heroes, but he certainly can pack a punch in the right hands. He tends to generate his ult pretty fast, and once he gets it it’s almost always a guaranteed kill. Only problem is that he has little to no range at all, and he struggles to keep up with the damage of other close range heroes (like Junker Queen and Roadhog).
-
Poseidon Ramattra - He plays almost identically to his regular hero. While he certainly is potent, he just isn’t on the same level as the other heroes and is outclassed by nearly every other tank available.
-
Medusa Widowmaker - Like Ramattra, she plays nearly identically to her regular hero. I put her below Ramattra because she’s playing against tanks with massive health pools, so it takes multiple headshots to knock them out. Her ult is too easy to counter, and is really the only one conditional on whether or not your enemies know how to counter it.
