me and my duo, who are within two ranks of each other (gold 1/diamond 5), and had zero issue queuing in every other season, are now considered “wide queue” and have to wait over half an hour between most games. this is ridiculous

You are over 5 divisions apart, so you are a wide group. Solo players or groups filled with people within 5 divisions are narrow groups, and cannot match with you. So your queue times will be longer since it has to find a trio for your team, and some groups for the enemy too. While trying to have similar ranks on similar roles.

i get that, but its annoying because as of two days ago we werent considered wide enough to not play comp together but today we are considered wide and cant find a game for the life of us. it doesnt make sense
It does make sense due to their changes. They improved match quality for solo players and those queuing with people of similar ranks. Those with big gaps are harder to find matches for.
Tho I do understand it must suck to have to wait a while now.
i would encourage you to go play that game and try the system instead of just camping out on the forum
I don’t play comp in wide groups, so I will not be sitting in a long queue.
I am scared to test it out. My Sistah Spice and I are not THAT far off one another. I cannot remember exactly because it fluctuates so much. If the queues go drastically up, it might just be a quickplay angle. I do not know.

so your really on blizzards meat that bad that you won’t admit this new system is TERRIBLE. me and my duo who are barely far enough apart to be “wide” que have been waiting for OVER AN HOUR on supposed “less than 6 minute” times. they arent gonna send a lifelike tracer doll to your house because your defending them on the forums, your a loser, go outside.
