Hey there!
Why do I (and others) lose a match if teammates leave the game? It is not fair and nobody can do anything about it. Today in a couple of games my teammates left. The worst part is that they didn’t have a reason to be salty (in this case I could understand somehow)
Why are you supporting this? Why just don’t end the game for both teams with no winner or loser? There are many different possibilities to make this fair for both teams. But it’s definitely not okay to make me and other teammates or enemies lose a game because there are only two in one team left.
In other competitive games, when this happens, you can vote for the game to end. If most people vote yes, the game will be restarted with a full set of people. Sounds better to me.
(I have changed the post and deleted my current rank cause it’s not my point and is was unnecessary information. I didn’t know that the community is so damn toxic and is assuming that I am writing this because of my own frustration of not winning a game. My point is the unfairness of this choice of the game and has nothing to do with my ability. Also sorry for my English. Tried to change the post to be more “in general”)
no the main reason is… guess it… you!

If you were on the team who didnt have a leaver you’d be upset when the game is cancelled as someone leaves on the red team.
It makes no sense to punish everyone / waste everyones time because of one player.
Additionally these kinds of things could be exploited.
And everyone gets leavers the same amount over time. So everyone has lost roughly the same amount of rank due to leavers.
Though by grouping youll alleviate that more.
Oh I see, players only leave your team (never the enemy team)……
haha so scared that u delete ur own comment?

No I wouldn’t be upset at all. I feel bad for red team if they have leavers. Just not fair.
In Valorant you can vote for a game to end in cases like that. This is a good solution I think. The game will then be restarted with the same team (+ of course missing people)
@KPNuts74
Never said that this just happens to me. Also it’s not ne point
@DpsMoira
No, I am not scared. Why should I be?! Dont really get it. I deleted it cause I realized that I was as toxic as you and I don’t want to be that way
Valorant “remake” has the condition:
“The next, and usually the most difficult condition, is that the player who left the match should not have played any round.
This means that if your teammate played poorly in the first round and decided to disconnect due to negative emotions, you can’t proceed with a remake.”
Also, you can’t initiate the voting after the fourth round.
It is closer to how overwatch auto cancels the game if someone dc’s at the start without doing anything.
The valorant system is quite weird to me. Only the team with the leaver does the vote. Why would anyone not vote yes?
Anyways, even Valorant remake requires that the player who left the match should not have played any round. e.g. been totally AFK.
Otherwise people could abuse the system, and also, people could be bullied into leaving games so as to not cost them a loss. Also if you’d be clearly winning and someone rage quits. Gg? no one would be happy.
On the whole, everyone gets leavers equally so you are not being punished by them any more than others.

It’s absolutely the point. Assuming you never leave, over time there will be more leavers on the enemy teams (as 5 possible leavers there as opposed to the 4 in your teams). Therefore, you will benefit from leavers more than be penalised - it’s simple maths.
Great info. I was struggling to think of competitive games that allowed a forfeit without losing rank… and as it turns out there’s one and it’s conditional like Overwatch’s but worse as it’s not automated.
