This game is cooked and the devs simply just don’t care - because this God awful system is still in place 6 seasons later. The only thing OW2 is used now for is a doll house with $20 skins that go straight into Kotick’s and Ybarra’s wallet.
I feel bad for Eskay who still has some hope for this game, but the reality is that it will not be fixed, ever.

I can only assume that the number/rating attached to that players account was static. Because he didnt play it couldnt increase or decrease.
However the players around his skill rating moved down which indirectly moves him up.
Its bizzare how so many players of all ranks can experience a similar pattern but you’ll still get people on here saying “its fine” when it does sht like that.
I gotta say this season feels the worst in my opinion of all of the OW2 seasons so far. I’ve never once felt compelled to buy a battle pass and this season was set to be the one finally worth the money right? Honestly even if they did sell PVE for 5 bucks like the claim it should be worth I still wouldn’t buy it… What a waste of money (IMO).
All that aside my comp matches have been garbage tier this season in my opinion. I honestly feel like most of the games I’ve won this season were because of ‘unfair’ factors to the enemy team like leavers / throwers… and I feel like a good portion of my losses are the same… Just yesterday of the 6 games I played I lost all 6, 3 of them I had leavers on my team which cost us the win, and the other 3 I just happened to be on the team where niether of my DPS could score an elim at all (well under 5 elims anyway). Not blaming only my DPS or anything its always a team effort but that’s just the most glaring stat IMO in a lost game…
I play enough OW to know there’s such a thing as a winning streak and a losing streak but man… this is A LOT of games in a row that just feel like crap… this is like 20 games total and I’d honestly say only like 3-4 of them felt like a good match. (I mean even the games I win they don’t feel great cuz there’s a leaver or obvious throwers). If blizzard didn’t do something to make this happen I can only speculate maybe because this is the “PVE” season a lot of returning / new players picked up the game and flooded comp?
No matter how I look at it I can’t see any sensical raking system doing this, and particularly with so little data – and on an older account no less. There have to be bugs in the matchmaking system because GREED found the perfect example account.
Agreed. I really feel bad for the players out there – particularly the new ones – that finally eek out a scorecard that goes 5-3, 5-2, or 5-1 and they get punished for it.

After I went 80% this season all my games went bad again. 5/5, 5/5, and now 2/5. I keep getting throwers and leavers. Every lose is from impossible games from the leavers and throwers. Last season was just as bad for me. I was giving it another shot. It’s still garbage. It hasn’t been good for me since S3. I’m only playing it for a golden weapon again. I have more fun with my friends in QP. Feel free to to play with me in QP sometime.
Don’t forget about Steam. One game I had a Hanzo in the front lines. I’m guessing they were new. No reason to derank in the hell that is B5. The throwers don’t even try.
