Rank rules are unfair

Again, yes you should. There’s a multitude of reason the system is set up this way.

Usually the guy left for a reason, so why should you not lose SR for a lost match?

Conversely, should you no longer gain SR when the opponent has a leaver??

You see bad in everyone?

I solo queued to diamond this season one tricking genji, with around 47 hours on him this season. It’s possible even with leavers and throwers if you put in the time

Then you punish the leaver, harshly enough that people dont want to leave games anymore, and the rest of the group doesnt lose because of one player leaving.

blame aaron keller for it hes ruuined the game th game ratings tanked severely after he had taken over

Good. If there’s an spect of the game that you don’t enjoy and you have an option of skipping it altogether, definitely take that option.

There’s no way to punish the leaver harsh enough to deter someone from making a free alt for the purpose. Not to mention that’ll just screw over the rest of us who have a rare occasional disconnect.

This is the other issue as it leads to rank inflation. Unless you just cancel a match whenever someone leaves which is kind of a crazy thing to consider doing since it feels like a big waste of time for everyone rather than just the team that has a leaver

Idk maybe it’s just me I get a leaver and I do not care. It happens maybe 1/20 matches and it’s a 50% chance it’s not on my team so whatever

Well here I agree with you. Honestly the ease of creating alts is probably the biggest issue with the game as it circumvents any penalties. The other day there was a post in a Facebook OW group im in that asked how many accounts people had. The average was 4, many people had 5, and quite a few people had 10. Crazy! If Blizz could actually force people to one account it would solve a lot of issues. But my theory is they dont want to do that because each of those alt accounts is regarded as a separate player in the stats on playerbase that they show to their shareholders.

Most of these alts are just bought accounts that are from ow1 since no number is required so I doubt it’s actually that crazy of a stat boost. They’re also looking at playtime metrics for sure.

Looking at aspects of how people would inevitably game the system isn’t necessarily seeing bad in everyone. It’s just being realistic. Someone is likely to do that, even if you wouldn’t. The world is built around preventative measures made around assuming what the worst possible situation to happen would occur.

Okay bye. If the good doesn’t outweigh the bad, definitely just don’t play.

No… you don’t. You could have left once the timer ended. It’s in red in your chatbox. Very hard to miss.
