i got a gold 1 in my lobby while i am currently masters 3/4 and they said match making was fixed. any explanations?

They could be diamond mmr and never farmed up.

matchmaking is getting worse every day. the first three days it was ok, but now the game is unplayable if you don’t have your own group

Well so far I’m not even sure what the actual rank is. I mean you could be in masters visually but now it may or may not be accurate you see. Nor can you assume any team mate is or isn’t either…it’s a “” dynamic system we concocted from a cooler parallel infusion of competitive standards vigorously adhered in the image of our brand. You see our reputation in this new frontier is to go where most would be lost. Cutting edge psych uh skillage is applied. Your fingers would :drop_of_blood:.

Figure as long as I’m not getting flat out burned at the stakes by smurfs enjoying their cyber poopie throwing charity…it’s better than what it used to be…

not fixed
playing as support you get like top 500 dps or bronze players.
or you get a tank that never played tank before or a diamond.
platinum - diamond it’s the worst place to be right now.

not realy, still having some realy 1 sided matches and matches that just don’t make any sense

every time i rank up in balanced matches my teammates are suddenly potatoes. they go 1v5, use ulti 1v5, don’t group at all, feeders, trolls jumping out of map, and leavers. sometimes one dps player does more damage than my entire team combined. the first days I had a queue as a support 1-4 minutes, now the queue is instant up to 20 seconds and the quality of matches is nowhere. I don’t think this game deserves my time and money anymore.

Currently i get

  • tank who retreat when NANOed and we are in superiority
  • As support I must duel 2 flankers that I ping 10 times, no one help, and my team can’t win 4vs3
  • teammates rushing 1vs5, no group, no teamplay, no positioning, no brain, they shoot their feet.
  • and many more…

I see less and less good players, and more and more CoD 12 years old kids playing deathmatch

it’s about to get worse. with the StReAmEr PrOtEcT feature, they’ll be taking away nameplates soon. You won’t even realize you’re wintrading the same 50 ppl who still queue up during your time of day.

More CoD 12y old kids who play deathmatch in ranked is good for the f2p monetization of the game because they spend a lot.
for the quality of play it is quite the opposite.
More headless chickens, less players with a full head. Not good future.

It is a shame. I chose to play Paladins much more than OW1 when I was playing this genre. I came back for OW2 and it has been nothing but a terrible experience. I climbed from B5 to G3 last season as my first time really playing the game tbh. My OW1 account was only level 18.

All comp is, is game after game of just the worst teammates. This matchmaking is making this game hard to play as a solo player. I know I’m not the best, but dang. When I’m dying 5 times, and doing as much damage as my dps that died 10+, I don’t really think it is always my fault. Support life is rough. Might just go back to playing dps. Even though I prefer support.

Fixed is another word for rigged so technically they are not wrong

One of the advantages of Paladins over Overwatch is that you can play support in a team of headless chickens and have fun.

I just stop playing when I see that my team literally cannot beat the other team. I like to play against people, not a crappy MM system.
