Random voice-lines are randomized client-side, and it makes replay recordings, as well as communicating with other players in-game inconsistent
For example: on your end it would say one thing for you, but everyone else in the lobby, and the voice-line recorded in the replay viewer will be randomized on the spot
I don’t think this is a massive issue by any means, but it seems like a simple oversight and it leads to player confusion, especially when trying to record a clip of funny voice-line scenarios, or reacting to other players’ voice-lines
I’ve had to unequip every randomized voice-line simply because there is no guarantee that what i say is going to be consistent across all players and the replay, and it is distracting and confusing to players who do not know this
this issue does not seem to be present on regular comms voice-lines, such as Hello
or Thanks
, everyone hears the same voice-line and it is consistent in the replay viewer, which leads me to believe that there is already some system in place to replicate voice-lines, it is just unused for the custom voice-lines
