- Despite being in the game for over 6 years, the basic OW1 lootbox, to the best of my knowledge, only received two updates to its contents outside of adding the base items for new heroes. The first time was to add promotional skins that were previously only earnable by playing HotS (oni genji, police officer d.va), the second was to add blizzard themed skins for the launch of Blizzard World
- Two moira reworks were attempted in preparation for OW2 before deciding to leave her as is. The first time was a change to her fade where at the end of fade all nearby allies were granted a cleansing effect and brief immortality (including CC immunity). The second time split her orbs into two separate cooldowns and replaced the damage orb with “enfeebling orb” a skillshot projectile that made it’s target deal incredibly reduced damage (enough to tank rein pin) for a few seconds
- Winston’s Primary fire received it’s first balance change ever just 3 months ago
- The devs once made a crude mockup of torbjorn wallrunning in response to a joke sign held at an OWL match
