Since June 23rd I’ve been getting suspensions for what I believe is no reason. I haven’t been throwing games, I’ve participated, I haven’t gone afk, and as of yesterday I’ve probably only left 5 games since the start of the season. This is becoming increasingly frustrating because they won’t tell me why I’m suspended and this keeps happening. I don’t want to eventually get banned for something that wasn’t my doing.
Were there any less-than-positive text communications made in chat during this time? I ask because that is the most common reported offense, including EZ, diff, trash, gapped, and a bunch of other similar texts.
Have you used chat at all? People have been abusing the report system lately to get innocent players banned.
Literally anything you say can get you banned.
What’s the broad reason they specified in your e-mail?

Get it turned off ASAP and try not to stand out.
Blizzard’s ridiculous tone deaf snowflake-based reporting system without any sort of meaningful checks and balances is as our friend here says, completely being abused, moreso now than ever.
If you do something that annoys someone like being a support when they’re playing badly and spamming heal me (despite them not avoiding damage and so effectively feeding if you do heal them) - they will report you for nothing more than that.

Which like i dont type in chat or anything unless its to say glhf. As of like 2 hours ago it’s happened again
So that’s not chat, that’s Gameplay Sabotage. So stuff like Walling off teammates on Mei, t-bagging, wasting your ult, actively throwing, jumping off the map, going AFK, leaving games, possibly spawn camping the enemy, things of that nature.
Do you do any of that with any kind of frequency? (Sorry to ask but) might… might you just be really bad at the game?
Which heroes do you usually play?
Furthermore, you can open a ticket with support to ask them what you’ve been doing that is getting you reported because you’d like to stop. If you do that, only send one message at a time before they respond, do not use any abusive language & be polite, and you may need to ask multiple times for specifics because sometimes (often times) they just give you an AI/scripted response.

Still not sure why this has not happened to me yet… I main Widowmaker, easily one of the most triggering characters 2nd only to Sombra, and I’ve definitely said many toxic things that I later regretted, but I’ve never had even so much as a warning ever leveled against my account since 2016 game launch. Players usually don’t report other players unless they get particularly upset, and I’ve definitely been accused of cheating more than a couple of times. This could mean that the crowds in my lobby have extra thick skins, or players are getting report bombed for exceptionally poor sportsmanship (or lack thereof). One can only guess…
