Why is Emre the first male dps released in the last 8/9 years?
The last male DPS released was Doomfist in 2017……. and they slapped him in tank
EDIT: This just out of curiosity!!!
ITS NOT RAGE BAIT
ITS NOT THE DEEP
I’M JUST WONDERING.

why does that really matter?
Ive heard the Devs want a 50/50 Male:Female ratio. Another reason is female heroes could be more popular overall, thus more female heroes lately.
There was an esg wheel thing that blizzard implemented in the mid to late 2010s that basically gave designs a score based on how “unique” they were demographically. They abandoned that mostly in ow2
It was created by the Candy Crush developers and was never used by the OW team.
its very obvious, at least when it comes to overwatch 2 metrics. you really cant make “cute” or “pretty” skins for male characters, at least regularly.
They didn’t hit the “male” part of the design dartboard for a while?
They don’t care?
They had no DPS concepts that were fleshed out and Male ready during the DPS releases?

Why do u hate male characters?
It was a random question excuse me princess karennufficas for having a random thought and wanted to ask the question. Excuse me for having an ADHD mind while high.
Well, he was released. Shouldnt we be glad about that?
I was just randomly curious why it took them years to release a Male dps character ffs that is all.
It aint that deep (this is towards some that are gonna have their speeches ready)
This says otherwise. Overwatch is literally on the face of both the articles mentioning how Activision planned on using the diversity tool for character making. Male characters ranked much lower than female and gender neutral characters. That was in 2022, so would explain why so many female characters and no male dps characters in 9 years.

damn dude, don’t try to force words into his mouth that hard, he could choke
‘King’ is the Candy Crush developer, as in Activision Blizzard King. Like the first article says, they created the tool. They used Overwatch characters to demonstrate it because Overwatch has such a diverse cast, which is why they are on the cover.
After all this information came out, many developers on the OW team came out on social media and clarified that they have never used it and have no intention to, condemning “Activision” for claiming otherwise, because the higher ups at their company love to sabotage their projects.
i never said that. im just asking why it matters if the hero they release is male of female or anything else.
Than they need to relax that throat before they spew
Does something have to matter to ask a question?
all he did was ask why it matters
like it irks me that it took this long to get a new guy dps since doom, but at the same time, it’s not really that big of a deal
they’re just pixels in the funny cartoon team shooter game
I was just randomly curious.. Does something HAVE TO MATTER for someone to ask a curious question..
My bad ill put at the end next time.. It doesn’t matter I’m just curious.
yeah, intent really does matter sometimes
a lot of people will ask questions like this just to rile people up
but surely, you’re just purely curious about something a google search couldve answered in around 30 seconds, right?
Whats the intent exactly?
dunno, fill me in, i’m not a mind reader chief
