Yesterday, I had a disconnection from server. I lost points, I had a leave penalty and did not mind.
Today, I had 3 of them. I lost more points, I had leave penalties and the last one was for 2 hours long. So I do, mind them.
I’ve been waiting for an official announcement from your side, but it sadly is not happening.
I’m not a leaver, never ever have been, but today, thanks to not me, I’ve been a leaver. It is frustrating. Leave penalties and lost points are consequences of intentional leavers, I’m not an intentional leaver. When a game server kicks people out, they should not be categorized as intentional leavers. I’m victimized.
I’ve been observing the same situation happening for some other people too. What’s going on?

Would like to know this too. I play in EU (Germany). I’ve been having frequent DC’ing since the event patch; tried a different account, different location, different PC (my relative with highspeed internet no less), and we still get the same kind of disconnecting.
My connection here at home is not shared, only I play on it, my internet package and router is new, I don’t use wi-fi (I use Ethernet). Fortunately I only play arcade and QP, but I’d be afraid of playing competitive if this is what happens.
When a DC happens, as I’ve mentioned before: my ping doesn’t spike up or change. I just start running in place, which is when I know “okay, server about to kick me off”. Then I get the “no license found” when I log back in. It eventually works, but…it gets annoying.

Are you guys from northwestern germany?
I’ve been having some big issues too. I got booted out of two comp games today. Once yesterday and twice 3 days ago.
I’ve been sending tickets to report these but still didn’t get a clear answer from Blizzard.
Playing from Switzerland (EU servers).

Berlin area, yes. I suspect it’s Telekom and Blizzard servers not cooperating. But, I find it weird it’s only happening since the event patch when this has never happened before.

Since many of you are playing from EU, it’s best to communicate the issue on the EU forums: Overwatch Forums
Because it’s also general Overwatch/Blizzard related. Not to mention the EU forums doesn’t have as much support responses, which is why we flock here. Gladly would go there if our questions could be answered.

This happened to me around 10 times in the last 2 days in competetive matches. i play overwatch for over 2 years and i never had this type of connection issue. it happens exclusively to the blizzard servers. region western germany.
I see that players are receiving responses on their Twitter, so you might try there: https://twitter.com/BlizzardCSEU_DE

This isn’t unique to EU, or to any particular ISP though it seems to spike with Comcast and Cox.
When someone has even 1% data loss on MTR you blame their router. When they show you 0 loss you just send them down more rabbit holes.
Look, if I just can’t play the game until you patch, that’s what it is, but could you guys at least confirm you’re looking into the issue instead of just blaming multiple users with different ISPs and different routers all experiencing the same issue?
When ONLY Overwatch does this but other Internet games and indeed other Blizzard games are fine, there is an issue.
I’m not a member of staff, I’m just trying to help everyone get to the right source for information, since this forum is supervised by the US staff. As for your statement about it being Overwatch only, this can mean a route that some players have in common is malfunctioning. Blizz can’t make ISPs or routing partners fix anything, but they can provide data about where a problem is occurring to the ISP (which can hasten the fixing of the issue) after confirming it via multiple network tests from players. But again, they need people to post their test info.
From the staff at the top of this forum:
If you’re having connection problems, everything you connect to has a different IP address. It’s very likely that you take a different path through the internet to connect to our servers. Comparing even two different games or services isn’t very useful because of this. When we suspect this type of problem, we’ll ask for connection tests so we can try to find out where the problem is.

And just a note about 1% data loss: this is actually a big problem on a game like Overwatch because it transfers a lot of data constantly. When my own line was losing 1% data I was seeing tons of lag and disconnects until it was repaired.
Nicole, I misread your MVP tag, my apologies. My question stands if a Mod happens across it, but yeah, I have no expectation that you can confirm specifically what the team is or isn’t looking into.
I still point out that people are getting the run around however. Again, we’ve had people post tests with 0 loss and no issues at all and the response wasn’t “That’s something we’ll look into.” it was “Oh, well, now run these three other tests and get us the results there.”
Like I said, I’ll just not play until the next patch comes along. I’ll keep peaking at the Tech forum to see when I stop seeing multiple threads about the issue over and over again and then think about coming back.
Its not exclusively Overwatch. This happened to me in SC2 today. This is a complete loss to Blizzard’s servers in europe.
Well, since we’re already talking here, how about some network tests to see if everyone is having an issue with the same hop that Exi was in their other thread.
