What if blizzard increased the damage of his ult if it hits someone at melee range?Would make sense because not only are you getting hit by the Shockwave but the hammer itself too.
The ult used to be able to headshot if you were too close to the reinhardt when he used it. Not sure when they removed it, but i think they did.

That’s how it works already. Shatter does 50 and being close adds another 150. He used to be able to 1 shot a squishy at point blank, but that’s no longer possible after the hp updates.
Honestly, when they said he would be getting a buff, I thought it was going to be a damage increase to restore that.
I would have taken a damage increase over range increase any day. But wre’ll have to wait ans see how things settle down with the changes and a new hero.
