There are 4 groups of players. People who prefer role queue and people who prefer open queue. But there’s also people who prefer 5v5 and people who prefered 6v6.
Personally, I prefer role queue and 5v5. But today, I need to hear from people who don’t like the same thing I do.
My question is do the Open Queue and 6v6 group overlap enough that it is worth making Open Queue 6v6 while keeping Role Queue as 5v5? Or would this make some of the current Open Queue enjoyers upset?

There was never any reason to reduce any mode that isnt role queue from 6v6 to 5v5.
Thats not to say that RQ should have become 5v5 either, but at least they had a reason.
So for you, you’d vote leave Role Queue as is but make Open Queue 6v6.
I think that sounds reasonable to me. I hope more people reply so we can see if that is the common thinking. If so that might be something Blizzard could do to help make everyone happy.
As someone who enjoyed OQ 6v6, 5v5 rebalances killed it.
You’d have to basically turn back the clock to OW1’s final balance patches in order for OQ 6v6 to work again, and they would not have a Hog that can oneshot consistently in one mode and one that can not in the “core” mode. It’d be confusing and frustrating for players who hop in and can’t get the support passive to proc because it never needed to exist for 6v6, ect.
I’m calling 5v5 the core mode since that would be the one driving future balance patches.
They rebalanced enough that OQ was negative 50 fun every time I tried it for 5v5, it was only negative 50 fun when I’d get 5 DPS who were all trying new characters in 6v6.
Imo just adding another player slot to both teams won’t help the mode at all.
Ironically, I kinda think that the balance of 6v6 at the end of OW1 was part of what killed it. I don’t think it was particularly well balanced at all during that time.
The best balance in OW1 for me was maybe late stage dive or Beyblade back in late 2016 / 2017. Funny enough, I think the best balance for OW2 was Season 3 and it’s been downhill from there.
Fair enough, but what could they do without changing core hero balance that would help? Would just tinkering with tank health pools in Open Queue be enough or what would be a solution here aside from having 2 completely separate game balances?
Open queue is completely broken because of the health change to tanks.
Some tanks can be 1 shot. That’s how silly it is. 6v6 won’t help that.
Honestly just replace open queue with OW1 mode. 6v6, OW1’s end of life balance changes - and leave it.

5v5 and 6v6 OQ the way to go seperately balanced.
