After the latest patch I can finally select random highlight intro for the newer heroes, however it looks like it’s not working
Every play of the game it just shows the same heroic highlight intro. So far I’ve seen this 3 times in a row for Sojourn and twice for Mei.
I will note, that for both highlight intros and victory poses… Random should just be removed, and we should be allowed to select multiple intros or poses that we’d like to see. If more than one is selected then randomly show those… personally I would prefer Never to see the heroic highlight intro, which is the only one we have now.

I’m having the same issue, only the basic heroic intro has been playing.

Same issue here, I am only seeing the heroic victory pose and default highlight intro when having random selected for all heroes. I tested with DVa and selected a specific highlight intro, which played correctly. When I switched back to random, it was only the default again.
Same problem, I like to have my heroes without event highlight intros to be set to random but it seems to just not work.
Same as well, I like it to be randomize but it can’t so I have to choose the best one out of them which kinda sucks
Just wanted to confirm this too. Been playing Echo a lot lately in quick play and gotten quite a few PotG, but only the basic “Heroic” intro ever plays.
Come to think of it, almost all highlight intros seem to be defaulting to the basic; it seems unlikely none of the people I’ve played with who got it haven’t explicitly selected a different one besides random or “Heroic”.

Yes, I’d really like this to be fixed and like your idea of selecting different ones rather than “Random”, although it would probably take additional effort to code this.

That’s the thing, it wouldn’t require any additional “new” coding at all because they already have those systems in place.
Highlights that you have not yet purchased do not display… so they absolutely already have a system in place to only show select highlights even with random.
Furthermore voice lines, sprays, and emotes you can select multiple different ones and only use those… so they’ve already coded the multiple select system for these lists.
The entire reasons they make different skins, voice lines, and items, is to give us a choice and incentive, and allowing players to select what they like is always best…
They already have every needed part of such a system coded which would allow us to choose what we want and make the game better for us… I just hope they’ll do it.
(but technically yes it would take additional “effort”… but not much by a long shot)

It’s actually insane how a favorite system still isn’t implemented yet after 6 years…
I was really upset with this as well, hoping it gets fixed in the next patch cause I noticed a LOT of people use random

Yeah it does. Pretty annoying since i don’t know what highlight i should play and wanna switch between all of em
same here i thought it was just me, but 3 POTG later its still the same… does anyone know when will they fix this ??
i can agree here, this will be a better thing then fixing the random
