This has started since the latest update.
I know that the fps is capped at 60 on the main menu, but it almost seems like my framerate is capped since I cannot seem to go beyond 60-65 frames in-game. Before the latest update, I could easily manage 240-250 frames on Medium settings. The first time this happened was between a match - the game was running at 250 frames, and all of a sudden, the frames suddenly dropped to the mid-60s mid-game and refused to go beyond. My laptop is all fine internally, so throttling is out of the question since the temps are normal. I have seen multiple people on Reddit face this issue since the latest update, but I couldn’t find a solid solution.
My specs are:
11th Gen Intel(R) Core™ i7-11800H @ 2.30GHz
16.0 GB RAM
Nvidia GeForce RTX 3050 Ti (4 GB VRAM)
Other games work just fine.
Things I’ve tried:
- Ensuring I have the correct resolution option selected in video settings - 1920 x 1080 (144).
- Turning V-Sync off (and on just in case).
- Changing my settings in the Nvidia control panel, forcing the game to use my dedicated graphics card and removing any frame limiters.
- Changing my Windows options to force my game to my dedicated graphics card.
- Repairing the game files through Battle Net.
- All drivers are up-to-date as well.
The last time this happened, it automatically fixed itself and I followed the same steps. The only thing left for me to do is reinstall the game, but I highly doubt that’s gonna change anything. Please someone help me out - this is high-key frustrating me!
