Random FPS drops after the most recent patch?

After the most recent patch my FPS got worse overall and drops randomly too. Before the patch i averaged like 200+ fps and didnt have any problems whatsoever, after i downloaded the patch i averaged like 140 fps and i have random drops to 60 fps or sometimes even lower. Makes the game almost unlayable. Any help?

Same here. After the latest patch have been having bad frame rate drops from my usual of 144 to 12-30. Frame rate goes up and down in game.

No issues with frame rates before this most recent patch.

Same here. it does max at 200+ then goes steady at 160, then boom drops to sub 60 FPS, the micro stutters are the worse.

what u running? i got an Ryzen 5 1600 CPU and RX 580 GPU. Just seeing if this is AMD related as my friends running Intel and GeForce dont seen to have an issue

I got the same problem since the patch from tomorrow.

Intel i9-9900KF, Nvidia Geforce RTX 2080 Super.

I updated my drivers yesterday (European time), got no problems in the morning but since 3 hours I got problems.

I did a rollback on my graphic drivers, but that doesn’t helped.

I will try now the low graphic preset, before I had high with 240 fps capped.

Edit: Low graphics seems to help. I can feel a liiiiittle frame drop from time to time, but it’s not that bad like on higher settings.

Same here, since the last update the frame rate got super unstable. From 200 down to 60. Im using a RTX 1050 Ti on low graphics, but keeps going up and down.

The same for me, I saw that some work by adding this in the game’s argument line:
–tank_WorkerThreadCount 2 -thread 2 -d3d11

I just changed from borderless window to fullscreen. For now it seems to work.
I play with high settings again.

Nvidia Graphic Drivers are now up to date again.

Same issue for me. Unplayble now after being fine for a week or so.

Okay, after playing today, I got the same issue. Going back to low graphics. Damn.

Same here. It’s borderline unplayable and I didn’t have any issues before the recent patch.

I maybe figured it out that it depends on the “Overwatch League Score Spoilers” within the Gameplay options.

Before it was “on”, now I turned it “off”.

Why? Because I encountered the FPS drops anytime the OWL runs. Because there is no menu anymore where the OWL results could be spoiled, so it maybe runs into an error.

Just a theory for now, need to play some more - But my last 3 games was fine.

Okay, maybe my theory is wrong - because I got the problem yesterday again after some time.

But today I didn’t had any problem at all after playing 10 games.

But I have another theory: Every time I got that problem, I run the OWL Youtube Stream in the background.

So now it is possible that Youtube Videos or a live stream is the problem - OR it is because you get OWL tokens in game and the fps stutter “randomly”.

Edit: I could test it now - For me, Youtube itself on Chrome was the problem. When I watch on another PC, I have no problems.
