There are apparently numerous threads about this issue in the forum, but nothing appears under this particular forum for “bug reports”. I’m guessing it won’t get fixed until a thread is made in here.
Recently as of the last two or three patches (last two weeks at least), I will often get randomly sent back to the login screen of the game, with no way to actually login.
This is the screen that a player sees when they first boot up the game from Blizzard app, where it will say “connecting to game”.
I’m getting sent back to this screen abnormally after the game has already logged in and connected. I’ve noticed it tends to happen with a high frequency under one of these conditions, although it’s not guaranteed:

Manually exiting a match early. By “early” I mean after the game has ended with “victory”/“defeat”, and before Play of the Game and other end-of-match statistics have finished. Sometimes it will happen even if the match is exited a brief second before being put back into queue automatically. This does not seem to happen to competitive games, where there is no auto-requeue, but I’m not positive as I’ve not played comp recently.

Similarly at end of game, when the group composition changes and a new person joins, or a new leader is set, or due to “stay as team” function, a new group is formed.

While in queue and browsing menus, such as while on highlights or hero gallery screen, and hitting the “back to menu” button to back out. Except instead of back to the main menu, I get taken to the login screen.
When one of the above conditions is met and I get randomly sent back to the login screen, I see “logging in” or some other progress indicator that just keeps turning without ever finishing, and I’m permanently stuck on the screen with only a big yellow “cancel” button in the middle to stop the progress. If I was in queue when this happened, I will still get put into a match if the queue finishes. I just cannot get back to the main menu normally. My only recourse is to either wait for the queue to finish, or hit cancel and exit, then restart the game.
Update: This bug is still happening, though with less frequency than before. Just a few minutes ago as of this edit, I exited a match within 1 to 2 seconds of seeing the “defeat” game text and was sent to login screen again.
