What the hell does reversal mean. This is the only game Ive played where they just add random unnecessary things that impact how much mmr you gain/lose. Its like its not impossible to even have a normal rate. I win a game and I get nothing for winning probably like 25% but the second i lose a game they add on some random things like calibration, reversal, struggle climb. Literally do not need to be doing all of that when its not necessary. Is there even an explanation of what any of them mean or is this some desperate attempt to seem different from every competitive game which just has a fixed mmr rate depending on your performance. I literally won 6 games in a row and got the same amount of mmr for each win but the second i lose, i lose more mmr than i was gaining and they’re talking about sum reversal. Make it make sense
There might be a “Competitive Info” button in your game and those have always been a thing even in ow1 they just show exactly what results in your gains/losses now.
Like previous reply said…they already existed before…just visible now
Also which modifiers you might get are already decided before the match (depending on the end result)…they have nothing to do with what happens during the match itself…it’s the mm’s way of calibrating its own ratings
ex - it has to put you in a match that you prob shouldn’t win, and yet you do, perhaps your rating needed to be higher…gives you more points for “reversal” (even if the match itself was your team winning by landslide)
i read them and they are not very good. I had a full team of silvers with me being the only gold and the other team had a platinum, one silver and 3 golds but once we lost apparently I had the favoured team. I think they might just be favouring me losing because i literally won like 10 games in a row
I think somewhere in the system it has to do with endorsements and keeping you in the same playerbase. I gave up on competitive a long time ago so im not sure
