Anyone else been ‘lost connection to game server’ in the middle of games, resulting in many penalties?
Sometimes it’s failed to connect to server before the match started, and we receive the penalties regardless.
Based on the technical support section of Overwatch Technical Support section, it seems that A LOT of people has been experiencing the same problem
I got suspended and banned for the entire S11 because of this problem.
I’ve got disconnected about 6x+ in the past week itself, BOTH COMPETITIVE AND QUICK PLAY.
The thing is when I can reconnect to the game, the enemies as well as teammates disconnected as well, yes I know about routing and all that, but it’s just a dumb excuse to shift the blame to the players when none of this is caused by the players fault.
I know all the typical “When the server shuts down, the message would be “Unexpected server error/closure.”" replies that is commonly given here, but the thing is, if 1/2 of the 10 players got disconnected, clearly there’s some routing problem and why are you guys still penalizing us for this?
I also know how game routing works, clearly the server chooses this route and different ISP has problem with this routing, is this the players’ fault that the server chooses this routing?
When will you guys ever take accountability and stop shifting the blame to the playerbase?
The player base is already dying and you guys are banning and suspending people left and right for routing issue? And think about it, how many people will QUIT the game because of this dumb issue because support tickets and all that takes ages to be replied to and most probably never going to be overturned?
