Ramattra void barrier question

Is there a way to cancel Ramattra’s void barrier after you’ve clicked it? I’ve found a couple times I’ll go to place it, decide it’s not needed but I’m stuck holding it since I’ve already clicked the button to aim it.

Tried searching but haven’t found anything.

On console I’ve found that while holding left trigger to place the barrier you can press right trigger to cancel it

Whatever you have set as Primary Fire should cancel it out.
